PuG Snobs...
Prince Rogrs Nelson
...or, why that douche should have stayed in my semi-noob group for the Deep/Zbounty yesterday.
I understand the unpleasantness of being in a total fail group when you're trying to do HM in a zone that kicks you on wipe. But I also realize that in the Deep, a mesmer (i.e. me) will NOT make or break your group.
Anyway, the story: given the confluence of an alliance making a serious push to gain faction, HoM statues counting for something, and Kanaxai being the bounty, an ally suggested a semi-tutorial trip to the Deep for last night. This ally, and several other, experienced players (allies and non), gathered us together in the Deep, gave thorough instructions, build advice, etc. But there were only about 7 or 8 of us from the alliance so we spammed for pugs.
Surprisingly, considering that 2/3 of the aforementioned confluence apply to everyone playing GW, it was not easy to find all the necessary classes spamming in the Deep. We were probably standing around a good 45 mins before we started our (almost 90 minute) trip.
About 25 mins into our search, someone joined us. I forget his IGN, and I don't even remember if he was a mo/rt or rt/mo. He seemed enthusiastic and glad to have a (by then) nearly full group. So we waited another 10 mins or so for the right BiP, in which time somebody said "sorry if I slow us down, I haven't done this in 2+ years," to which I replied "it's cool, I've never actually done it."
Suddenly this PuG dude is UBER-1337. He pings "I'm following [my character's name]" several times, types LOL and leaves the group - after he'd already been waiting there almost 40 minutes.
So imagine my amusement when, after completing a successful 90ish min HM run, displaying my new statue, and taking my copious new loot to storage, I returned to the Deep on another toon and saw that idiot standing there, still spamming 1/12 for a PuG.
Efficiency snobs are SO much less efficient than they think...

I hate playing with those kind of players, they're usually the first to whinge, die and then ragequit. So, good thing he left tbh.

Unsure if a pug snob ( whatever that is ) but hes probably either a troll or time waster .
Ive seen around gw many "idiots" who sit in an outpost and lfg and dont actually go anywhere and ive wondered why the hell they still there.Presumably they must be players of low esteem who think by being leet ( or a complete twat ) can impress players.Worse is if they manage to get in a team and into a zone they suddenly become leet twats and seem to have no idea of how to engage/pull mobs and always first to die.
Does the players who sell things in la/kamadan etc and spend hrs with afk at end of text fall into same category and theres nothing more annoying in an outpost as someone afk and selling an item ( if your gonna be afk then just go guildhall or drop the wts ) - infact more annoying ( no offence folks if you do it ) is when boardwalks open and you get all the useless crap about each players lucky/unlucky points - who gives a toss , its sensless clutter and if they can type it then they shud have pen an paper and write it down.
Efficiecieny = sitting in outpost wasting hrs lfg when they cud find a pug , try it and if win/fail least they did something rather than waste time which isnt efficient .. inefficient efficiency - does that exist i wonder lol

You know that PuG's leetist can't settle for anything below great.

Oh wait, they suck at everything.
It's not nearly as bad as a PuG necro in DoA, aggro everything in sight, wiping the team in the sake of reminding me PuG leetists are 10x worse than PuG noobs.
And uh, cool story bro.

yh also hate them. i just play with everyone. i prefer to fail with a fun group instead of completing it with a annoying group.
i also needed the statue. i was alrdy at the deep so cba to get the bounty, found a pug group and made it (nm). we did pretty good and it was alot of fun. no elite snobs in our group luckily. it was the first time i got past the second room <3 run took like almost 2 hours! but i had to eat just before kanaxai, and i was the only one with recall. haha <3

Pugs are shit and always will be. H/H (with a few good friends for the deep/urgoz) will ALWAYS be faster, more efficient, and more effective than pugs. So why bitch about them?

But by mentioning that H/H is faster, more efficient, and more effective, I wonder if you're considering the part where I mentioned that this was an alliance-wide, semi-tutorial run for players who hadn't done it before...?

I know, I know, Deep is not friendly to heroes, but it should be and I mean it in the general sense of the game.

And that is the problem why hero-haters/pug-lovers in this forum don't really know what they are asking for, whenever they suggest to anet to get rid of heroes and FORCE everyone to party up. Do you really want these people to be FORCED to party up with you and mess up your missions? On the other point of view, do you really want to be FORCED to party up with these people?

typical GW narrow thinker, unfortunately this isthe type of player that will quit GW2 when they realise it is a REAL mmo where you group to do things, not a single player rpg where you occaisionally group with someone to use their heroes or go to spamadan to spam sales for 3 hours per day
truly cannot wait for the REAL mmo to kick in and watch these ppl crumble lol
sooooooooo many ex-gw players quit wow, LoTRO, AoC & Aion when they realised you cannot go solo for anything except grinding

We don't really need a vent or rage thread. Might wanna check the rules before posting in a section.
