Ok, I hope this hasn't already been asked, and if it has, then I probably just suck at basic searching.
Basically, since you only need to get the 4 parcels in order to finish the scavenger hunt and move on with the story, many people skip getting the sacks of random junk.
My question is: if I did that, is there any way for me to still get the sacks of random junk on that character? Or is the opportunity gone forever?
Thanks!

According to the wiki, each character is allowed "a total of 4 Paper Wrapped Parcels and 12 Sacks of Random Junk."
This is per character. So you can still get it on other characters in your account

As long as you haven't seen the dialogue afterwards, and Thackery is still outside waiting for gifts, then you can still get them.

Spyder: I don't really get what you are saying, sorry (it's probably because I'm freakin' exhausted )
Basically, do you mean that once you see the "Rejection" dialogue, you can never get them on that character? That would make sense lore-wise. Just making sure there's no other time you see him where you could make it up.

I am aware of that. However, you can get them on other characters, but you'll still miss the 12 that you could get on that character.

What I meant was after you see the dialogue after you have turned in the gifts (The one where Gwen rejects his picnic), then you can no longer drop off gifts to him. The only time you can give him gifts, is during the Scavenger Hunt part. Otherwise, there is no way to give him more gifts after you have witnessed that dialogue.
You only have the one chance to collect the gifts/junk. Hopefully that is more clear to you.

Thanks, Spyder!
