Original/Unusual Builds: Post Your Own!
Grim Lich
Nowadays, we play in the world where perfection is demanded at all times, and anything short is noobish. People who assume that there is only one way to do something (*cough* discord *cough*) or pugs who immidiatly kick you for not running "their build". I personally think too much of that is dumb, and copying every build from PvX gets boring after a while.
But what about that build? You know the one, the one you made all by yourself. The one you only play with Henchies and Heroes, or the one you only dare to bring into RA. The one that makes no sense mathematically, but hell, it seems to work and it's a lot of fun to play! And that's what really counts.
So I want to hear about you builds! But there are two rules:
1. Must fuction, aka must be able to do it's job. Just cause it's fun doesn't mean it can clear a mob. It doesn't have to SCHM, it just needs to work.
2. Can't be a meta build with a small change. It has to be yours, and it should play a bit differently. Oh and it'd be nice if you could explain how it works instead of just throwing up eight skills.
I'll go first with my PvP Dervish. I've been using this build in FA on the Kurzick side, and it's a lot of fun and can kill most players through the combo.
Grapple Enchant Dervish
OgGjkyrG7OHYA8zd7HUMvj3rLA
6 earth prayers 14 Scythe Mastery 15 Mysticism
-Pious Haste
-Wounding Strike
-Twin Moon Sweep
-Grapple
-Wild Blow
-Sand Shards
-Heart of Holy Flame
-Aura of Thorns
Goal: Full combo should kill target and heavily wound/kill (depending how close they are to you) nearby enemies. Uses Enchantment removal for energy and conditions
Use: (6-7-8. . .1-2-3-4-5)
Cast the enchantments 6-8 and wait till your energy is 20, use haste to rush in and hit them with wounding strike (activating Sand Shards) Twin Moon (activating Aura of Thorns) and then Grapple them (disrupting anything they are doing, making them go "WTF" and cancling Pious haste which activates HoHF) then finally finishing them off with Wild Blow. Then you need to find a place to recharge and then do the combo again.
Yeah it's dumb and ridiculous and unheard of, but damn it's fun. No one can reliably see the grapple coming the first time, and you can use it to keep them in the sand shards, or wait till your teamate hits them with RoJ to use it. Even though you're on the ground as long as they are, you are more prepared for it, so you will always come out on top!
So it's your turn. What do you have in your pocket your too embarrassed to bring out into the open? Come on. Tell us!

I'd post a few of mine, but I don't have access to my computer with all my builds saved.
I'll come edit this post when I fix what's broken on it.

Used to use this in RA quite a lot, good fun and pretty effective.
Basically utlizes mass condition spam through sword attacks followed by Virulence, spreading disease around.

Galrath Slash/Final Thrust

Crushing Blow
Yeti Smash
Belly Smash
Armor of Sanctity (If not using AoT for aoe conditions for yeti smash, use this)
Mystic Regeneration
I dunno why I ever thought of it, but it's pretty funny to run up when there're a bunch of melees ganking someone and knockdown r4pe them.
*Edit*
I usually run it with 16 earth prayers, 12 hammer mastery, and 4 mysticism, and just fill up on health runes + zealous/cruel/heavy/whatever hammer.

Yeti Smash
Renewing Smash
Drunken Master
For Great Justice
Optional PvE (SY!, IaU, AS, whatever)
So I ended up working on Mesmer for GWAMM, and I like this build for vanquishing in an H/H party. I usually throw withering aura on an MM to get conditions spread for yeti smash, along with the death novas. Generally does more damage than ineptitude/panic spam with SoH/Splinter on you, plus has some nice shutdown. Maybe not the best melee mesmer, but very fun to keep whirling around with the AoE attacks and spamming renewing.

I vanq'd all three continents with this build on my monk:
OwUUMqW6YIS9ALB+MfEvTyl7i2kA
Mo/Me
16 Smite
10 Heal
9 Divine
Leech Signet
Arcane Echo
Ray of Judgement
Heal Party
Renew Life
Pain Inverter
Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support
You Move Lke a Dwarf
I found it to be pretty fun, and my wife was afk for all 3 continents, so did every area down one player. Not really original as the Jesus Beam is a little OP'd with the echo and 3 PVE skills...but it was fun and easy. Used a Panic Mes, MM Bomber and either SoS Rit/Sav Heat Ele + henchies. For the 4 man maps just used Panic Mes, and Dunkoro healing with me nuking.

Pony Slaystation
When I do RA, I typically start the match by casting Mending on myself. I then Echo-chain Healing Signet as quickly as possible.
Actually, something that I run a lot is a Spirit Spam build that uses Signet of Spirits, Boon of Creation, and Mantra of Inscriptions, along with other skills that I change a lot depending on the area. With Boon of Creation, after using MoI and SoS, I still end up with a net gain in energy of 5 or 8, depending on my attribute distribution and armor set. Plus, MoI shaves off about 10 seconds from the recharge time of SoS, which actually can help to maintain energy, and acts as a pretty nice self heal when you need it. When I'm running more of a support build, it's pretty fun to throw in Spirit's Gift in there, and keep your party relatively close, and get a pretty nice PBAoE heal from casting SoS when you need it.
Edit: Just for clarification, the build I discussed is for PvE. Should be obvious, but just making sure.

Lanier
This is a build that I play on my monk that is particularly effective in 4 man areas and in ABs. I used it while vanquishing a couple of old ascalon areas. It'll work in 8 man areas too, but requires a patient party as you will have to stop periodically to recast blessed signet.
Boon Signet
Signet of Devotion
Reversal of Fortune
Dismiss Condition
Guardian (4 man areas)/Shield of Absorbtion (> 4 man areas)
Life Bond
Balthazar's Spirit
Blessed Signet
Maintain life Bond. Spam the signets for heals, and use your other prots as energy permits (Balthazar's spirit allows pretty good prot spamming during battles - more than you would think at first glance).

Necromas
Here are some I made on gamependium. Further descriptions can be found in the links.
N/D Meleemancer
I always imagined scythes to be de-facto necromancer weapons, so I was pretty disappointed when they didn't even get a staff that looks like a scythe in GW. This build gives the necromancer a way to use a scythe and do decent AoE damage with the help of some blood magic skills. Relies on the underrated skill Great Dwarf Armor to make up for the necros inherent squishiness.
N/R Kittymancer
Who needs zombies when you can have a real live tiger? This necro has a pet that his hard and fast with up to +45 bonus damage per hit on plain attacks, while the caster himself sits back and spams necrosis using the "wait wasn't that skill just for pvp" barbed signet to make sure the condition for both necrosis and scavenger strike is always met.
R/- Quick Trapper
I missed the days where trappers could join groups, but now they only ever seem to get used for farming where you sit with a skillbar of just traps and trap related skills, and stack traps for up to 90 seconds then pull some mobs into them. This build just lays his traps once, only taking at most 10 seconds, and can still do respectable damage with his bow. People still don't want me in groups though when I do this because even 10 seconds I guess is too much.
R/E Zeus's Turret
It's a PvE turret build that uses penetrating/sundering attack and wasn't made back in the prophecies days. With expert focus and body shot it can spam 10e shots like they were nothing (only like 1 in 10 of your arrows will not be fired using an attack skill if you time it right).

I highly recommended this, but with a monk instead of a warrior. You will be invincible if you also take mending and put 16 in healing. Those extra points in healing make up for the fact that monks have lower armor than warriors.

This is the build I use in JQ. It's fun because you can totally disable and kill 2-3 shrine cappers all at once. Then you have Gaze of Contempt to disable necro bombers. If a melee is chasing you just Illusion of Pain and run. Same goes for carriers. This build provide excellent defense and moderate single single DPS. A couple of time a few nukers called me useless because I won't let them cast a single spell. But I say hey, if you can't cap then you're the useless one. :P

I always loved single target damage in PvE with my ranger. This is what I've used half a year ago:
R/Mo - Point Blank Spiker
Expertise: 16
Marksmanship: 13
Protection Prayers: 3
OgMT8mLnZK07yAV6tcm8Vq4IvCA
Now I'm using this build for more energy management, less dodgeable arrows and longer IAS.
R/X - Prepared Shot Spammer
Expertise: 14 (12 + 2)
Marksmanship: 15 (12 + 1 + 2)

- Point Blank Shot
- Zohun's Shot
- Asuran Scan
- "I Am the Strongest!"
- Glass Arrows
- Lightning Reflexes
- Mending Touch (or a ress skill)

Sounds like a fun thread. Here's what I run with my H/H as a WaMo
3 Protection Prayers
12+2+1 Strength
12 Swordsmanship
a Radiant Insignia and Rune of Attunement get's me to 25E, then my sword has a +5E mod on it to get me to 30E
In order of "skills"
1 - Jaizhengu Strike +24 dmg, if not in stance, can't be blocked (Factions)
2 - Power Attack +40 dmg (Prophecies)
3 - Pure Strike +24 dmg, if not in stance, can't be blocked (Prophecies)
4 - Optional - usually Snow Storm (Eye of the North Deldrimor skill)
5 - Optional - usually Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support (Eye of the North Ebon Vanguard spell)
6 - Optional - depends on where I'm headed, usually "You Move Like A Dwarf", lately it's been Technobabble (Eye of the North Asura spell)
7 - Warriors Endurance elite skill. At 15 strength, I can keep this up indefinitely. 30 second recharge, 35 second duration. Sweeeeet.
8 - Rebirth - this has saved my bacon more times then I can count.
I may be a 5 year WaMo noob, still stuck on one character, but I have fun, and this works well for me.
My hero's run the Spiritway build pulled off PvX wiki, which has worked out so much better for me then the "Sabway" build, and I failed miserably at running my hero's in the "Discordway" setup.
Henchmen are usually 2 healers, a mage and either a ranger or warrior - preferably an interrupt ranger if available.
Before a fight I fire off WE, call target, and depending on the target, either Technobable then Vanguard Assassin, or just Assassin, then stab stab stab. When surrounded by monsters, snow storm helps disperse them off me since I fail as a tank :P
If I have You Move Like A Dwarf equipped, I usually save that for Ele's, Necro's, and Monks, or rangers that are being mean and blocking my normal attacks :P Then it's stab stab stab some more
Again, this works for me, and I have a good time, which is what really matters to me

Ele/Rt Unsteady Earthbind: OghjkwMLoRpCugID7QnCOiXDkTA
Earth Magic 12+1+3
Energy Storage 11+1
Communing 6
With the Earthbind spirit up, this build can knock down anything, including Shiro and Dhuum. It is extra helpful if you have a hammer warrior with KD (human or hero) on the team. I have used it successfully on Gate of Madness HM (where Magnetic Surge is particularly useful in punishing the Madness Titans and other dervs there). I have also used it on a balanced clear of UW with a human team, replacing Magnetic Surge with FoMF as a rez.
Maelstrom is just nice to drop in a ball of casters, such as a mess of Terrorweb Dryders.

My favos for AB and RA:
Enraged whammo
OQcTExJ31J8tUM+JMxHY5nIAAA
Kind of works like a bbwar. Use enraged like you would use bulls strike, ur use it for adren for hammerbash. Once the trarget is on the ground from enraged or hammerbash you use falling, horns, crushing, and then hammerbash again. Used right you can KD lock someone really bad
AoF Monk
OwEU02HCxaSbENgEECEbaTfBA4FA
2 prots, condi remove, hex remove, large heals, huge self heal.... Its fun ^^
(this is assuming you know how to use rez sig and not be bad and use it mid spike)
Also my favo thing about this build in ab: keep clicking in front of your char to walk while bashing 7. This will make you walk while cancelcasting leaving a purple mist behind you
edit: i usually run this with 7 tact and q7/6 shields, but 9 tact is handy for all those PvP chars :P

@OT: That's a pretty lulz build, would be awesome if people would post lulzy combo's. Too bad most people here just put up bad variants of meta bars.

Here's my competitive arenas version of Assassin pressure:
1. Jagged Strike
2. Fox Fangs
3. Critical Strike
4. Trampling Ox
5. Grenth's Grasp {E}
6. Pious Restoration
7. Dash
8. Death's Charge
8+1 Crit, 10 Wind, 12+2 Dagger, 2 Shadow
It's actually really great pressure with an awesome self-heal. In fact, I've found Pious Restoration to be a really great skill. A good tactic when dealing with anti-melee hexes is to hit with Jagged (crippling them), then if they cast Empathy, IP, VoR, whatever, use Pious and go into Fox Fangs -> Trampling.
It's not as good as a meta build, but it's not supposed to be meta either, and it needs to hold its own in arenas where you finish the game whether or not you have a Monk and you're dealing with Siege Turtles on splits.
It's not really original or unique, but in PvE the elite my dagger spam build uses is Skull Crack. It's a really great skill in combination with that build, and it lets me use SY.
I've also got a Prepared Shot "Sniper" build for Assassin, but I can't remember it off the top of my head.
1. Jagged Strike
2. Fox Fangs
3. Critical Strike
4. Trampling Ox
5. Grenth's Grasp {E}
6. Pious Restoration
7. Dash

In JQ I love:
D/A
Vow of silence
Crip sweep
Victorious sweep
Sand shards
Faithful intervention
Heart of fury
Mystic vigor
Dash
Precast enchants then charge into the cap point and take it out.
With all of the casters there, most people can only sit and wand while you pick off the NPCs. With crip sweep you can also snare and kill carriers.
Plus, you get rage from other players like: "OMG I hate Vow of silence in PvE and now you bring it so I have to deal with it in PvP"

would be awesome if people would post lulzy combo's. Too bad most people here just put up bad variants of meta bars.

I once made a necromancer/warrior to use in RA. I made him look as much like Haseo from .hack//GU as possible. Even coming close to matching his armor.
I made 3 weapon sets: one with daggers, one with a fellblade (cuz its huge), and one with a scythe.
I used all melee weapon skills and just switched from weapon to weapon. Had some health stealing skills for healing. it worked pretty well for a joke build, and people who got the joke laughed the whole time.

But there are two rules: 1. |

Yeah, it says "no meta bars with slight modifications". That practically leaves only lulz builds.
Skyy High
This is the exact same build that I use for most PvE on my ranger, except I slot EBSoH or PI in place of Dwarven Stability.
Red Intensity
I like using this fire bomber build for JQ:
E/A
Fire Magic 12+1+3
Energy Storage 12+1
Mark of Rodgort
Shadow Walk
Bed of Coals
Double Dragon
Flame Burst
Iron Palm
Inferno
Glyph of Elemental Power
Use the glyph + DD for 20 Fire Magic, pick a spot and hex the center-most target with Mark of Rodgort, teleport into the crowd and use Bed of Coals and the other skills. Bed of Coals alone will kill everything that is hexed by you (when you die), unless healed.

Kumu Honua
I enjoy my summoner build.
R/Rt - OggkclZc4Imkcps4u41U5EY4jxFD
Superior Expertise + Minor marksmanship.
Pain Inverter
Summon Ice Imp (I use this because it casts AoE)
Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support
Signet of Spirits
Bloodsong
Volley
Distracting Shot
Flesh of my Flesh
I just like having extra bodies for the enemy to focus on. Combine with a MM for big wall of stuff for the enemy to focus on other than you.

When I'm tired of playing caster on my Mesmer, I grab a melee caster weapon, tactics shield, and I tank. Its not a show stopper, but it works even if your blinded or being blocked and is armor ignoring.

^ Personally, I'd drop Drunken Master for Flurry, because you're less susceptible to stance removal from skills or death, and you can also slot a defensive tactics stance in if necessary.
