Changing Ingame Weapons Using Texmod

I was just wondering exactly what you change in a texmod image to re-color the animation of a weapon
EX: Voltaic Spear Blue-->Pink

You find the texture that's layered over as the animation, and change it.

Yeah I know i found the animation i need to know exactly what part of the picture you change or w/e i found it sent it to my file changed the picture were all blue was i colored pink and it takes all animation way it just stays black

Hvae you checked YouTube for tutorial videos? I've seen some good intro TexMod ones, so I would think there are some for animations.

Ive checked and their all the basics mostly the setup logging mode and building the actual .tpf they usually just show some scribbles on the armor for an example.
ive also seen an actual video for a pink voltaic spear (link below for example) but no download link.

i would just ask the person who made the video but from the looks of it they arent active.

Do not look for the spear's skin. You are looking for some texture that's getting applied over it. Probably something small and odd-shaped. Using the replace-with-fugly-green option is probably your best bet on finding it.

yeh i found the place of the animation itself but i cant figure out how to change it to pink instead of blue.
When i change the picture at all it takes all animation away.

Edit in dds. You've probably borked the alpha channel.

Hate to bump this old thread but does anyone know where I can get the vs pink animation mod? Did the guy who made the youtube video ever release it.
