Hero's Handbook has missing pages?

I am curious about something with my Hero's Handbook...

I recently noticed that a number of quests I did previously are not listed in my Heros's Handbook.

Notably, about half of the Vanguard storyline, and the entire Norn storyline. I noticed this because I just recently completed the Asuran story and all of its pages were suddenly filled in, but the others are not.

I am missing Pages 3, 5, 7, 8, and 9... despite the fact that I did the quests for each of those.

However, I think, I might have picked up my first Hero's Handbook, after I did those quests, as a friend only then told me about the handbook and suggested that I should get one...

Now, I am reading here: --> http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Handbook

Quote:
If you complete a page without the book in your inventory, you can talk to Kodan at Gunnars Hold, Lexx at Rata Sum, Gedrel of Ascalon at the Eye of the North, or Tyr the Skaald at Gunnar's Hold and any of them will add the entries for 100g each, provided you have not reached rank 8 for the group (Dwarven, Asuran, Vanguard or Norn).
So does this mean that those NPC's should offer to fill in my incomplete pages for me, for the quests I completed before I got my first Handbook?

Because, they do not give me this offer!

My highest rank is rank 3 so far, for each...

So do I have to go back and redo all those quests again to get them into my handbook?

Not sure if it applies to the Hero's Handbook/Dungeon Guide but I do know that with most of the other books:

* You cannot buy pages retroactively if you go 30 days without completing one of the missions listed in this book

I know I got my book after doing some of the quests (as I forgot to pick up the books) and the pages added fine :/ If you talk to the NPCs about Written Evidence and show them your book, they should offer to fill in the blank pages for a certain fee.

This is not a bug. If you wait too long to get a book after completing a quest or dungeon, then you miss the opportunity to have it recorded. This means you will need to repeat it with the book in your inventory.
