Run yourself there, or get a runner.

The fastest way (other than doing the missions) is to purchase a run from Beacon's Perch to Droknar's Forge. You can then purchase a run to the Granite Citadel.

if your 20th level with heroes or maybe henchmen you can walk and fight your way there.

Wouldn't like to try it without heroes personally but if you good you should make it.

Just a note, in case you weren't aware, but there will be nothing there for you - the armor is for the 6 core Professions only. The Granite Citadel will only be useful to you as a place to start off when you want to vanquish Spearhead Peak, Tasca's Demise, and the Mineral Springs, and to get to the Springs when you want to get your armor Infused without going through the Iron Mines of Moladune (which is, frankly, way easier). Oh, and to make your way down to the Copperhammer Mines and the Frozen Forest and beyond, of course.

Not to mention it's a halfway-there outpost on the way to Sorrow's furnace.

It is much easier to go to Deldrimor Warcamp (Sorrow's Furnace outpost) from Camp Rankor than from the Granite Citadel.

That's provided you already HAVE Camp Rankor, which people who don't take runs don't - no missions or quests lead that way. For the regular mission following player Iron mines -> Copperhammer mines -> Granite citadel (just because it only takes another 3 minutes detour and "saves" your progress -> Deldrimor war camp is the way.

I agree it does depend on whether you got to Droknar's Forge via the mission chain or via a run from Beacon's Perch (which includes a stop at Camp Rankor).

The OP said from Lion's Arch, so that means stopping at the Deldrimor War Camp, so that still leaves out the Granite Citadel as a useful destination for an Assassin, except for the reasons I stated and...

Totally forgot about that. Never seemed like that viable a farm to me. Long distance to go and not really many Imps to get them off of, even with the Icy Dragon Sword being exempt from loot scaling. Still, good luck with it.
