I think maybe I broke something. LOL

When I got EotN, Factions & Nightfall in the last few days, I ran around getting storybooks. I went to get one from Gordon Ecker in LA for the Young Heroes just so I'd have it, only I wasn't paying attention and got one for Flameseeker's Prophecy - I already had a copy of that, sitting in my storage, which I have been diligently filling. Originally I had to pay Gordon to fill in the first two missions, since I hadn't known about storybooks then... but otherwise, I've been sure to bring it with me on my missions.

Yes, well... I mixed the books up and brought the "new" book with me on my last mission. It populated just fine with the mission I'd just done. Only... now I can't pay him to fill in that mission on my old book, OR to fill in missions on my new.

I have done ALL of my 12 missions within much less than the last 30 days - my toon is only 31 days old, and I spent almost two weeks in pre. There's no question of timing. According to the Wiki, I should have no problem paying him to fill in the mission I just did... but in no way does he give me that option now.

When I click on him I get:

"Written evidence?"
or
"I'll be on my way."

Clicking on the first gives me:

"Look at my copy of The Flameseeker Prophecies"
or
"I would like an empty copy of Young Heroes of Tyria [Hard Mode]"

Clicking on the first gives me an offer for him to pay me for what I've got so far and:
"Yes, take the book."
or
"I think I'll hold onto it a little longer."

If I present him with the book that only has the one mission in it, the dialogue/options are the same except he tells me he is only accepting books with a lot more substance, and my only option is "I'll be on my way."

Did I break something by ending up with two copies? Is this some sort of bug? Is there some way for me to report it and get it looked at? I even tried getting another book, doing an easy mission (doppleganger vs my pet - it's a 39 second win LOL)... still won't let me pay him to fill it.

So now I don't know what to do, or what I'm doing wrong, or if I've misunderstood the instructions on the Wiki.

I definitely did all my missions within 30 days... more like within 15 days max. I've made sure I have money on me to pay him. I've logged out and back in. Rebooted. Tried two different days.

Still can't get it to do anything, and at this point I'm a little worried about doing more missions that I can't get credit for.

What am I doing wrong, please?

From what i gather - you ended up with 2 books , one had been partially filled and when you did mission it was added to new book rather than old.If that correct - missions etc done without a book can only be added to 1 book and not multiple books - adding to multiple books would mean players could do 1 mission and fill that entry in multiple books off 1 instance.
For better info and guides check wiki on the books section as it should giver clearer info and better explanations on how to do/fill books in general

You filled the "new" book with that mission you did. It will not fill your old book in for that. You must do the mission again to do it. Make sure to only have that correct book in your possession when you do the mission.

The "fill in" only applies once per mission done in 30 days while you DO NOT have a book with you. You had a book, so it filled that one in.

Sorry.

I'm relieved! I was worried I would have to start from scratch and do all 12 missions again with a new book just to get it going again. I was afraid to do anything more with my old book for fear of making the problem worse.

I don't mind redoing the one mission to get it into my old book... I just wanted to make sure I hadn't permanently messed the book up so it wouldn't take future missions or something.

Thanks for the info!
