How about allowing more than 1 summoned creature from a stone being active in an instance. There's hardly any reason to use them imo, but allowing more than one active might add that novelty value which means they are used.

They add damage and heals on top of your massive damage and heals you have from your builds. If you don't want them, feel free to give them to me.

I don't think summoning stones are really supposed to be useful anyway, so I don't think increasing the cap would be a good thing. Besides, why would they not have novelty value if you can only have one?

Yes, because allowing 8 people to use a Shining Blade Warhorn to have 3 allies each totally wouldn't cause even the worst teams to rofl-stomp every single area

Can you imagine a full party of 8, with 24 Shining Blade Allies, throw in a MM and a Mesmer or two spamming EVAS (using echos)? That's just nuts!

I could go for the summoning sickness being reduced so you could pretty much have one active all the time but multiple stones at the same time is making things too easy.

Summoning stones and other consumables should have never existed to begin with.

I'd rather have the sickness linked to the Summon (like the Minion count effect) so when the creature dies, it goes away and you can bring another one.

But more than one? Hehe... no.

I like the Mysterious summoning stones and the consumables but then I am not that great a player.
Those who never need them or like a challenge can ignore them.

Games should be fun and interesting.
Anything that adds either is to be desired.

When us average players get to somewhere difficult or in my eyes absolutely *! impossible.
Instead of a mistake causing a wipe and a restart we can repair the damage grab an extra ally and try again.

Besides its fun to have a strange companion along.

More than one stone....

/unsigned.

However, What I would like to see is that they undo the time penalty on it.
This is not really a problem when you have more people in the party so they
can use stones to.
But when you are on H/H party en hopefully in the near future 7 hero's
than the time penalty is a bugger.

So if there could be a possibility that they could undo the time penalty playing
with H/H than I would be more than satisfied

no thanks. Here is the problem: Solo farming with multiple stones because summoned creatures don't take drops. So you go around buying 1 of each type of stone and head into an area...do I really need to explain why this is a bad idea? Even if you mean letting 1 person from the party each use one(which you didn't specify btw) it's still a bad idea because then you have a party of 8, minions, spirits and 8 summon stones as well as EVAS and Asura summons?!

  • Dump a stack of Mysterious Summoning Stones
  • Suddenly, you have a party of 250+.
  • STEAM
  • ROLL
  • EVERYTHING

Limits are there for a reason. Consumables already do terrible things for PvE balance, and summoning stones don't need to become any stronger any time soon either.

This. More than one is too much power.

Rolling through UW and FoW with 250 summoned creatures...I don't see how that could POSSIBLY be a bad idea.

I can't see how this could possibly not be abused.

So what am I meant to do with 900 summoning stones, and steamrolling dungeons and areas is the whole idea (fun).

Considering how fast speed clears are, where is it really going to matter now adays?

If this is the case, give me back my 600/smite team. North Kryta Province and Nebo Terrace were fun to steamroll.

Make a new thread then. This one is for mega-summoning mobs. At the very least it'll encourage people to team up with others.

This is a game intended to appeal to a wide variety of playstyles. One of the reasons low-level areas exist is to allow players who like steam-rolling things to have their fun. Tougher areas are intended for people who desire a challenge. This system allows both demographics to have fun.

If, however, every area could be steamrolled, then the latter group loses their fun. Is that fair? No, it is not.
