Here is my delimma, hopefully someone familiar with DoA can give me some advice.
I recently came back to GW to work on my HoM after the calculator came out.
I had about 10 of each of the four gems farmed a few years ago between my wife and myself. I figured I would just buy the remaining gems I needed then trade them in for a tormented weapon. I got 15 of each gem and went to look for the barter NPC. Oops!
Looks like I have to kill one of the 4 region bosses to spawn the spirit that you trade the gems into. Are any of the bosses easy enough to kill that a pair of decent players with decent heros can possibly do it?
Any other thoughts on how to convert all these gems into an Armbrace?
Our old guilds are non-existent and I dont really want to get hardcore and try to learn a FotM build and break into the DoA farming scene for the one run. Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.

Given that me and a guildie managed to do all of DoA, of course it's possible. It takes aome time, call it an hour, and it's done.
I'd recommend the margonite populated city. It's much faster than the others. The enemies are acceptable in difficulty and it has no particularly tricky surprise popups or escort quests or similar.

City of Torc'qua is probably the easiest as it doesn't have any surprises, the quests are straight forward and the mobs are easy to handle. Just taking whatever builds you take for the rest of PvE should be ok.
The only thing you have to do carefully is a bit of pulling to lure mobs.

yeah, i'd say city definitely would be simplest. just run at it in NM with heroes. should be able to do it if ur competent enough. otherwise, u should be able to look up glaive builds on gwpvx.com and join a glaive pug team. do all of DoA.
Fate Crusher
Quickest area is Gloom.
But as the above have mentioned, City is more straight forward (Kill everyone outside, clear inside, kill boss), whilst Gloom will need you to run around the place a bit to activate quests/trigger popups and defend some Whispers. Still much quicker though.
Note: For clarification, once the area is cleared, speak to the pink spirit right next to the chests, he/she will ask you something and click on the option saying I want to prove myself with the hard work I've done here (Or something like that). He'll swap your gems straight away for an armbrace, no need to swap into coffers first.

You might be able to find a player willing to trade the gems for an ambrace?

spam trade.
your gemsets for an armbrace.
someone should snatch it right up since they are worth more in gem form.

Thanks all for the replies. Immediately after the second WTT gems for armbrace I got a response. That was alot faster and easier than I thought it was going to be.
