So I'm kind of new to guild wars and I have no idea what the value of stuff is. So Any help would be appreciated

Gold:

Ebon stonehead hammer of hammer mastery: 19-35 earth damage, hammer mastery +1 (20% chance), inscription 'fear the reaper' (+19% dmg while hexed)
Gim Cesta: Energy +12, Armor +5 (while casting), rq 10 death magic

Purple:

I have a bunch of these, doesnt seem to be very good, should I sell at merchant or salvage?

Ivory Hammer of fortitude, dmg 18-33, health +27, inscription 'to much information'

Half Moon bow of enchanting, 15-28dm, enchantments last 16% longer, inscription 'dont think twice' (8%)

Wailing wand of quickening, rq 13 death magic, 11-22 dmg, halves skills recharge of spells (8%), inscription 'have faith' (energy+5 while enchanted)

Water staff of mastery, energy +10, 11-22 dmg, rq 11 water magic, water magic +1 (17% chance), Inscription: 'dont call it a comeback (energy +6 while health below 50%)

I have some more but they seem sort of the same value as the above.

Then finally I have some upgrades:

Bow grip of shelter (+4 armor vs physical)
Bow grip of fortitude (+21 health)
Sword pommel of fortitude (+25 health)
Cruel hammer heft (lengthens bleeding duration by 33%)
Barbed bowstring (lengthens bleeding duration by 33%)
Bow grip of defense (armor +4)

I also have more along the same line as these.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Buying Humps! (No kidding! Check my buy thread)

Hello Kitty Krewe [HKK] Forever!-ish

Ok, first off, not to patronize but please be careful to respond to anything by EDITING your OP (original post.) If you post a reply to your own thread to respond or clarify within 24 hours of your last post, then it's an early bump which gives you unfair advantage over others' threads here and, so, is against the rules (those "Guidelines" in the sticky thread - they're the rules, don't let the name fool you. )

Value of weapons usually depends on their requirement (as it looks like you're aware,) but you forgot to list this one's req. level. The skin is not especially popular or undersupplied right now, so I think if r9 it might be 5kish. If req is 10 or higher, I doubt it's worth the trouble to sell. Were it mine, I would watch my drops for a Measure for Measure inscription and use one on this hammer. Then use a regular salvage kit to get hopefully lots of granite from it.

I think you mean "Grim." If that armor +5 while casting mod is inherent rather than an inscription, then this is merch food for sure. Inherent foci are normally valuable only if the have two max or near max and desirable mods. If the focus is inscribable (says "Inscription: " in the item tag,) then it's probably still not worth much more than 2k or so ... regardless of whether it's the talon or gauntlet skin variant.

Merch that. Besides being purple (which often makes things much harder to sell) it's not max damage. Max damage for hammer is 19-35

Ok, again, you didn't list the req. level, but I don't think it matters. Any purple text inscribable half moon with req between 9 and 13 is probably merch food.

Were that mine, I would merch it. I have noticed people around town asking to buy those inscriptions now and then. However, I don't see enough demand for them to justify keeping one handy in case you run into a buyer.

Ok, well since it's r11, I think it's merch food either way. However, for future reference when describing a staff you need to list the built-in HSR (half skill recharge) which is listed above the energy +10 part. Max is 20%.

Merch all of those, as none of them are max. Here is a nice wiki article to help you get an idea of what the max values are for mods as well as weapons. IMO, the only mods popular and expensive enough right now to make salvaging 1-off (one point less than max) versions to try to sell are enchanting and fortitude spear grips and forget me not inscriptions. All of the items above I would not have bothered salvaging in the first place. Since you've salvaged them already, use an ID kit on each one before you merch them ... that will raise the sale value a bit.

You might get 1-2k for the barbed bow string *if* you stumble upon a buyer, but that could take a while. Personally, I would merch those were they mine unless I planned to be standing around trade districts anyway and had room to hold them in case I saw a buyer.

Bow grip of defense (armor +4)
Like the others above, this is not max for a bow grip of defense, so it's merch food for sure.

If you're trying to get a feel for prices of mods and such, you can check out the guide threads linked from the sticky thread in this section ** LINK HERE! For All Other Price Check Guides ** The OPs of each do not all get updated often if at all, but you can sometimes get a feel for current prices by reading the recent replies to those threads. For things like mods and tomes, I often check the listings in the auction section to see what others are charging when I'm trying to PC my own drops.

Cheers & GL to you!
