Vaettirs Farming?

So I just starting farming Vaettirs. I have one problem....there seems to only be around 30-40 Vaettirs there. I know there are suppose to be 60. I have not finished "Northern Allies", does that matter?

You need to have completed Blood Washes Blood I belive to have the full spawn of Vattiers there.

there's only 30-40 in normal mode. HM has more.

As far as im aware the only part of norn storyline you need do up to spawn 60 vaetires is the primaries upto blood washes blood and complete it.Thats maybe around just an hrs work - ive done this on 1 chr ( ele ) and thats all she has done in eotn - just those few quests an nothing more so eotn completion for vaetires is not needed but saying that you do need 1 chr on account that has done eotn for hm which you dont state you have.

No, I believe you just need HM available, which means you must have finished EotN on at least one character (any character) in NM. You ALSO have to have finished BWB (in NM) on the character that you're using to farm Vaettirs. Make sense?

just for clarity
1. 1 chr has to have done eotn for hm ( same as any campaign ) so the farming chr has hm access
2. you have to do norn primaries upto ( and finish ) blood washes blood .
3. leave longeyes ledge in HM to spawn the 2 full mobs ( 60 vaetires ) .

jokingly no4 would be - ensure you have correct build/armor/weapons ( how many of us have failed to add hm or check builds etc and ran there without realising :P )

Not necessarily true. If you haven't taken any of the Northern Ally quests (excluding the one given in HoM) there will still be 60 foes in HM. As soon as you take a quest, though, you must complete BWB. There may be a particular quest that you shouldn't take, but I'm not sure exactly which one.
