Hi everyone, I played Guild Wars a year ago and I want to try it again.
I think I know my account name and password. But I dont have my characters name(s).
I only have my key from my card which was in my box.
What can I do?

Contact Support and tell em what going on. Hopefully you have your original games with cd keys or some proof of purchase or you are screwed.

Also, see if you still have a screenshot folder with old screenshots, they might show a character name.

Have you tried putting yourself in a position in front of the computer as if you were playing one of your characters to remember the name? That worked for me.

If you know any friends that still play on MSN or in real life or facebook etc, ask them if they have you on their friend's list still.
Also like Dzjudz said, check your screenshot folder for any screens with your character names.

I had similar issues with my 2nd account, contacted support, 2 months later and I still haven't heard anything, so screenies might be a better option

i lost the info to my 2nd account and got it back within a few days, turns out I didn't forget the info but it got hacked and they deleted the only char name i could remember. I think i was the luckiest person to get hacked ever. They did a few Quests on new chars and by the looks of storage they were buying and selling Zkeys/Gold, even though its tainted it was a bit of good luck for me, hope this makes them think twice about stealing accounts lol.

Your going to think im crazy but i sent a email right to an email off the support site sending them the account name with specific details of my character like armor profession armor color/type and asked for toon name and i got it within 2 hours of sending the email

Send an email to [email protected] and put NEED CHARACTER NAME in the subject line. Give them any proofs of ownership you have such as account name, owner name/address/birthdate, access key(s), approx. creation date, character professions.
