HoM Weapons question

Quick question.

I have 30 Medals of Honor and I'd like to trade them for 3 Oppressor death wands for my Necro heroes, however if I do that can I add all 3 to the HoM and have them count as 3 weapons?

I already have a communing wand in there. Would it make a difference if I select 1 death wand, 1 fire wand and 1 channeling wand, or would it still say I already have an oppressor wand and not count the dups?

All shields count as a shield, all bows as a bow. I expect the same applies to wands, staves etc.

Ok, then I have a 2nd question. How can I fill my HoM with 15 weapons if dups don't count? There are only 11 different weapon types in the game if you count all the various types of wands, bows, etc as a single weapon?

Do I just need to dup across different weapon styles? Like I can have an oppressor wand and a torment wand?

Multiple weapons of the same type will be counted if they are a different version. For example, adding a Destroyer, Tormented, and Oppressor wand gives 3 points (1 point each).

Basicly what MisterB said, 3 oppressor wands, is ony 1 unigue weapon.

Yes there are only 33 unique statues, 11 for each source (tormented, destroyer and oppressor). Within each source, all bows, wands, shields, staves, offhands only have 1 statue each (i.e. all oppressor bows only give 1 statue, all destroyer staves only give 1 statue, etc).

If you have this for example:
- destroyer curse scepter
- destroyer heal scepter
- oppressor recurve bow
- destroyer longbow
- tormented tactics shield
- oppressor tactics shield

You get 5 different statues: destroyer scepter, oppressor bow, destroyer bow, tormented shield and oppressor shield.

Ok, thanks for the advice everyone. I kinda like having matching weapons on my heroes, but not at the cost of HoM points.

Best way to check this out is to visit the gw2 page and look at the HOM calculator.

everything that adds points is listed and you can test adding them to your total.
If you click on oppressor scepter and add it then there is no other oppressor scepter to click on same with focus staff and all other weapons.
But there is still a Tormented and Destroyer scepter to add.

The calculator is also a good way to see what to get to add the maximum points.
I have 6 elite armours added if I put in one more I get a point for 7 armours.

Any elite armour will give me that point but Kurzic/Luxon Vabbian and Obsidian each have their own slot, if I add one of those it counts as 2 points once for itself and once for having 7 armours.

Since you can only get 8 points for armour the most efficient way to do it is the three amours I named plus any other 4

Yeah I made this mistake, crafted a Destroyer Channelling Staff and Destroyer Death Staff because I needed them for heroes. Was not happy when I tried to put the second one in my HoM.
