I got mty monk flying armor in the granit citadel (chest, legs. hands and foot).
Yet, when I come to HOM It does not allow me to register it, what could be the problem ?

Make sure you have a tapestry.

Sure its all the same set? I know the crafter at the granite citadel crafts multiple sets. Warriors for example have elite dragon and elite platemail. Think monks have like 3 sets? Anyway, all 4 pieces have to be the same set, else it won't count.

To qualify for the HoM, any armor you have has to:

1. Be "Elite" armor
2. Be all the same set
3. Have at least 4 pieces of a set (head does NOT count)

Any of those could be the problem. I think Granite Citadel armor is all elite, and you listed the 4 body pieces, so I'm willing to bet on #2. Make sure all four of those pieces read the same.

And be sure you're wearing it when trying to display in the HoM.

If the armor set has a headpiece that goes with it, you will need all 5 pieces.

This is incorrect.

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Resilience#Notes

"Only the four body armor pieces are required to display a set, even if there is a headpiece available for it. "

For what it's worth, that same page says:

"You must be wearing your armor to display the set."

But I personally recall being able to display a set which was in my bags, while I was wearing something else. I could be wrong about that, though, and it's trivial to simply switch into the armor you want to display, so I won't argue with the wiki on this one.

But I know for a fact that the headpiece is not required.

Fun fact: even if you don't own the headpiece, the statue of you wearing the armor will show you with the headpiece equipped. Neat!

No your right. i went in once with it in my bags and the armor took.
So i'll confirm that. Armor doesn't have to be worrn, just on your person @ the time.

This tripped me up the other day (elite kurzick armor).

I had my warrior's HOM set to account-wide, and couldn't add my new armor.

I came back in with a tapestry and it offered to display the tapestry. After I did that I could then add the armor.

So just because you can see a tapestry, there may not actually be one there for the character you are on when the HOM is set to display account-wide achievements.

Great, glad you got it solved.

Remember that the tapestries are tradable, so if you run out, you can probably find some for sale in EotN or here in guildwarsguru's buy/sell forums.

I got the tapestry showing on the wall.
I dont have a tapestry on the wall of the weapon.
When I touch the weapon wall icon, I am asked for a tapestry.
When I I push the armor wall icon, I'm not asked.
So the tapestry is inded there.

I double checked, all the armor peaces are of the same type.
I've added runes to them, could that be the problem ?

It realy bothers me, I've spent all my money (120 platin) on this armor.

Make sure your HoM isn't in account wide view.
(forgive me if it has been already pointed, I didn't read the whole topic)

No, runes shouldn't be a problem. All my armor sets had runes when I dedicated them. No idea what it may be, if it's not something of the issues listed, though.

Edit:
Is this the first armor set you're putting in your HoM? I'm not sure if it works the same way as the Monument of Valor, but maybe if you have the same type of set, but for another class, it may not let you dedicate it a second time.

Yes, it is the first time.
I will try to register it tomorrow again and see what happens.

I want to thank all of you for the time you took to try to help.

are we there yet?

ok, to make sure:
1 you have a tapestry for armor in your hom
2 you have personal view instead of account view
3 you have with you (I would put them on) the armor--all 4 pieces. (doesnt need to have runes or dye---I put 1/2 of my armor in without anything on them just to put them in)
if all 3 of these are yes and you are still not able to put the armor in then you have a bug of some kind..

(when you go to the armor monument and click on it is should ask you if you wish to dedicate such and such armor and NOT display a tapestry)

if possible take a screen shot of what the monument says with you infront of it wearing the armor in question---that might help us figure out what we are missing.

OK, this was the issue. The "character view". I was not aware of that view until now. Now I got it resoved.
Thank you
