Greetings,
The legacy left behind by DikuMud has evolved in Guild Wars into this group of people highly interested in playing for the sake of fun, balancing social interactions with combat and adventuring. When you come to play in iMud it should feel like putting on an old, comfortable hat. The guild, founded 5 years ago, become stagnant to the point where we started to rebuild this year. Now we're becoming a busy, active guild within the Everlasting Sacred Path [ESP] alliance.
We are currently seeking like-minded mature individuals that are going to be respectful, friendly, mature, and active in the game. A good sense of humor is a must, quirky, but not too twisted. Attention-seeking immature people, however, aren't tolerated very long. Also, members inactive more than 30 days tend to be booted.
You can expect to play in a casual atmosphere instead of being hyped, pushed, prodded, or otherwise told you're lower-class. There's no one here that will consider it a crime if you simply choose not to make a big deal out of the game. It's best just to take it lightly and enjoy yourself.
Currently we're having our annual Design-a-Cape contest on the forums, for which I'm still looking for entries. Alliance-wide, our Holiday Bash is happening on the 18th, with a giveaway, scavenger hunt, and small pvp event. Coming soon: regular GvG matches.
♦ These things we've often enjoyed amongst our comarades:
JQ | FA | Deep | Urgoz's
FoW | UW | Title-grinding
Vanquishes | Dungeons
Weekly Theme to focus on (for those that choose to)
Weekly [Amateur] Saturday Scrimmages
Dedicated Teamspeak 3 server (not required, but highly recommended to try)
Forums at www.iMud.org
♦ I'm currently looking for an experienced individual to commit to being our Team Captain for GvG matches (and HA stints, of course), with the possibility of in-game incentives to be determined. The right individual would have a high level of good sportsmanship, respect for other players, assertiveness, willing to teach, and willing to make a few mistakes. Matches will be at least weekly, but depend mainly on your own schedule.
If you like what you see, private message me here or in-game:

I hope that this is the start of a beautiful friendship.
p.s. Depending on the level of involvement in the near future, I may institute a Happy Hour around the time most of our members log on, being mid-afternoon Central Time in the US. While at first glance working on your drunkard title with others doesn't seem like the greatest, it can be a springboard onto things like dungeons, vanquishes, or elite areas that have been particularly problematic.
