I was just wondering, why in the world do I find so many weird looking items in Pre-Searing? There are so many items that have a different look then the ones I usually find in Post-Searing. I've played Guild Wars for 1100 hours in total, and about 200 of those in Pre-Searing, the most strange looking items were all from Pre-Searing, even though I haven't spend that much time there at all.
Maybe Pre-Searing isn't affected by patches, so that the items that used to drop, are still there? Pre-Searing wasn't affected by the "AoE Nerf" either.
Because I found a strange looking Jewelled Chakram today I made this thread, but it's far from the only strange item I've found. I farm in Pre-Searing alot, so I might add other pictures later. Here is the picture:

I concur, many items in Presear have unique skins. However, some of them are from the quests there (like how quests in Postsear give odd skins like crystalline sword called longsword).

I get a lot of "rare" weapons that are low damage, like Serpent Axe, Bows with strange skins. I agree, Pre-Searing, has many odd looking items.

i dont think quest rewards count as rare skinned finds, not very rare if everyone can get one by beating a 5 minute quest

pre sear is where i take my screenshots for auction pictures. Like of the serpent axe and the crystalline sword and stuff

well i once found an actual krytan axe from a hidden stash not just the skin but the name was krytan axe and they are damn rare so yea pre is f'ed up

pre sear is without doubt the best place in the game, imo. Scenery and items alike I just deleted my monk since i never used it and have a ele there now, may never leave pre sear. Think its possible to get a gold weapon?

I got this weird hammer that I've never heard of before in pre-sear. It was called a magma's arm and it just looked like one of those normal hammers with the circle in the middle. So apparently there are weird names there too, not just strange skins.

Magma's Arm only drops in helsl precipice, together with the Magma shield.

I have had a magnas arm hammer drop in presearing just outsidfe of fort rank looked nice pity stats were junk

The funniest item that I had drop in presear (or maybe it was a quest reward) was a truncheon that they had labeled as a "grim cesta".

Yeah, I've also seen Magma's Arms being dropped in the Ascalon Missions, I think one dropped from the same stash that had one of that Ghost's armor pieces.

Preseer is a treasure chest! weapons and items with unique skins that should've been put in post seer. another reason why pre seer is just so much better. on a side note: i vote that the preseering "trainer" armor be made available in ascalon city for nostalgic players like me.
