At what point does GWAMM get added on to your GW2 achievements?
Gennadios
A 045 issue a few weeks ago got me thinking.
The HoM keeps track of anything that gets ded to it, so a 50/50 account that gets breached and has all it's characters wiped will still have full access to the listed rewards.
Now what about GWAMM? To my knowledge, outside of the "Honor" monument, there is no direct way to 'dedicate' or have the game say "there, it's been saved" with regards to GWAMM.
Even "Honor" still has the quirk that it automatically jumps up one rank in the display if you max out every single monument in the HoM, so it may or may not be tracking the title directly.
So a simple question, if a GWAMM character gets deleted today, will the world of GW2 ever remember him?

Well first off, if you account is blocked and you won't be getting it back, you won't get any rewards for that account anyways. You can't connect a banned/blocked account to GW2.
As for GWAMM, you need the max rank for it to count towards GW2. I'm sure it will register on your account that you have achieved it, whether the character is deleted or not. The statue in the HoM displays your GWAMM title, so that is the only noticeable way of knowing you had/have it.

Anything you put in your HoM will remain recorded for GW2 purposes. Keep in mind, that the HoM links GW and GW2 accounts, not characters.

Statue? Is there a statue or is it the tapestry that glows?

Yeah it's a statue, cause there is no actual displayed tapestry there. Here is the picture of what it looks like as you progress in GWAMM.
Edit: Link btw for the Monument of Honor. It tells you how the statue progresses based on the GWAMM title.

yeah but the statue progresses one lvl for filling your hall(11 weapons 5 armors ect) so you can get a fully progressed statue without gwamm, just 25 titles.

Yes, but you don't get anything to put into the HoM *directly* (for GWAMM that is.)

Depends on the above, probably not.

No, minipets for instance will stay after deletion. If you decide to delete character your titles will go away.

You think it's that hard for Anet to just check if a character has 30+ titles on your account or implement a function for you?
|
The whole point of this post is to ask whether that function is in place now, or whether it'll be implemented closer to release (which is what I'm worried about.)

Have we ever had an official answer to this simple question? A friend recently had his account hacked and all characters deleted, including his GWAMM, before he got it back. He is nearly 50/50 and it won't be any problem for him to finish that up since the HoM has preserved all of his points account wide. But is he going to have to earn GWAMM on another character to get that carried across to GW2?
Darcy
As soon as you earn GWAMM, it is recorded in your HoM data. The character can be deleted and, when in account mode, your HoM will still show the achievement. When GW2 begins, any of your new characters can display the title.
The account-wide data in the HoM is updated each time you record something new and nothing is ever erased from that data.

Do i recall correctly when i say that i once read that gwamm counts for something outside of the 50/50?
In other words, 50/50+gwamm is 'worth' more that a simple 50/50?

The only added benefit of GWAMM is that your GW2 chars can wear the GWAMM title in GW2 as well, nothing more.

Thanks for clarifying that

Show it where? When I look at my HoM in account mode, I don't see the achievement anywhere. Yes, I have the full statue over the Honor monument, but you don't need GWAMM to get that, so it is not a reliable indicator of whether GWAMM is recorded in some fashion. The only place I know for a fact that GWAMM is recorded is on the character that has the GWAMM title, and, if that character is deleted, I have no proof that the title wouldn't go away along with all the other character-specific data that isn't recorded in HoM.

Q: Do players who obtained the title God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals in Guild Wars get anything special in Guild Wars 2? A: Yes, the maximum rank of the God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals title will be paid forward into Guild Wars 2. If you have earned this title on any of your Guild Wars characters, you will be able to have any of your Guild Wars 2 characters wear the title as well. GWAMM is completely separate from the rewards that you can see via the Hall of Monuments Reward Calculator. |

The real question is why would you delete a GWAMM. If you get hacked then it's sad, yes. I don't know how you're going to link accounts if you're hacked, unless you magically get your account details back via your key codes as proof it's yours.
BrettM
Where exactly do you see "magic" in getting ANet to restore access to an account by proving ownership? Hacker victims get their accounts back all the time. How else do you think the victims find out that the hackers deleted the characters and emptied out the storage?
Once the victim has the account back, what do you think will stop them from linking it to GW2? We know for a fact that the account view of the HoM still shows the recorded statues, minis, heroes, armor, and weapons of deleted characters. We also know that anything that has not yet been dedicated or recorded in HoM is lost if the character is deleted. We just don't know if GWAMM is actually recorded somehow or not, since there is no direct evidence of it in the HoM.
