Hello, and thanks for taking the time to read this post. We are Pillars of the Earth [ROCK], a mostly PvE guild that is currently recruiting players. Are you (still) a Guild Wars addict, willing to help your fellow players, 18+, mature, and fairly active? Then we have a guild for you! ROCK was formed in August 2008 by a group looking for camaraderie, mutual respect, and fun. Our ideals are helpfulness, honesty, and maturity (for the most part; we aren’t soulless zombies who grind endlessly without an ounce of humor, after all).

We currently have about 75 members, mostly North Americans. We are a Kurzick guild in a friendly, full alliance that has members from around the world. Aside from a few of these Guru posts in recent months, we haven't ever openly recruited previously because word of mouth and other methods we've used to add to our ranks have led to longer term memberships of high quality gamers (as in people, not just skill level). We range in age from late teens to late-50's, with an average age of about 30. Among us are Internet and computer professionals, business owners, doctors, students, factory workers, members of the military and professional slackers.

So, what can you expect to do with the guild? We enjoy high-end PvE (at the very least, one organized run a week, what we call Elite Area Friday, but often more impromptu runs), including all end-game elite missions, HM missions, and vanquishes. While we're mostly a casual guild, some members are involved in various speed clears. Currently, we are the host guild for a weekly all-mesmer meetup that is open to any primary mesmer. There is also the occasional HealDay on Saturdays, an alliance-wide event where only monks and ritualists do an elite area, often Urgoz’s Warren.

In the end, we like to have fun in a drama-free environment and we're looking for friendly, decent players who want to a join a good home through to the release of Guild Wars 2. There are no specific membership requirements for the guild, though we ask for information like age, general location, Guild Wars experience and profession(s), game activity level and other basic questions in order for us to evaluate your fit with our group. While we don’t require you to talk on Vent, it is preferable that you at least have the program and can listen in during group activities. For more information or to submit your application for membership, we invite you to visit our forums, wiki page or contact us in game with questions.
