wow ive just browsed this thread quite a bit and must admit theres several jaw-dropping collections in here. very inspiring, i think ima get a bit more seriously into the collecting game after just randomly collecting stuffs with not much rhyme or reason. guess the very late 2k14 is indeed late to do so but better than never right?

Everybody starts somewhere. Collecting is a calling. Many are called but few are chosen. Ask for help if you need it. We don't bite. Well ok, a couple of us might bite
Choose what you want to collect. Find a niche that isn't collected already and make it your own. That's the best way to get started. But bear in mind that you'll have to fund it somehow... When I started, my thought process was 'rare shields... How expensive can it actually be?' Boy was I in for a surprise.

Hey friends, finally getting around to sharing what I think is (almost) the entirety of my collection on Guru. I'm sure there are things I missed.
It has taken me a very long while to find all these items, but it reflects some of the most fun I've had in any video game. I've met a lot of great people, and many of them have very generously helped me put this little collection together. In particular, I want to thank Salva, Kromp, Kabong, Coffee, Mai, Surge, Shadowfell, Tooburns, Vizi, Zephyr, Pleikki (<3), EnchantedKrystal, Max, Gregor, Spazi, Trip, Kuba, ZSplit, Gentleman, GimeYourEctoplasm, Kasper, Yoji, PawningJock, Luny, Ling, Olle, Handler and all the other people who helped me make this possible.
Many of you are gone now, but there's no doubt that I couldn't have done this without y'all--as a wise man once said: "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants."
Anyway--without further ado, the items:
I'd like to say I'll keep playing as much as I used to, but that's probably not the case. I've been getting busier and busier as of late, and even a low input/effort game like GW is becoming harder for me to be active in. I consider these items my magnum opus, and they truly encapsulate the fun times and friendships I've made over my years playing this game. That being said my activity level is probably gonna drop pretty heavily. That doesn't mean that the next time a good fire item comes on the market I'm letting it slip by me though!
And, as always, remember: "We are the Academy [PhD]. This is who we are; this is what we do; this is what we like!"

I want to thank Showtime for adding the most amazing piece I believe I shall ever own from here on out (2005-2007 era not included!). I dont think it gets much better then this, at least not for me. Rest assured it shall be safe in my hands for the rest of Guild Wars's life.

so had to start from nothing now when came back.
But here they are, My dear Vivian quinns Chesting/kama equipment.
I have done my best getting myself little piece of gw's history,
and i hope it doesnt end here.

Hammers, Made by mighty soldiers in the battlefield
Shields, Collected from ppl that died in Kryta

At the other end of the busy scale, since I retired from spending hours in Kamadan searching for treasures, I was approached by two seperate people today who had some items for me :
Thanks to Vizi for the Tall shield, and the other two were offered to me in Kamadan. Seems that I don't have to put in the hours these days - I have people who do that for me now
