Change of Names

Customisation is specific to the character and not the name. You therefore won't be able to transfer them for use on a new character of the same name
Basically what everyone already said.
Think of it this way. Each character you make has their own unique ID. When you customize an item, it is customized to that ID. So remaking a character, would give you a new ID that wouldn't be the same as the old one.
So, no. You can't used customized items on a new character, even if they have the same name. The ID won't match.

Actually thats a perfectly legit way of thinking about it.
Just like in real life the name dosen't make the person the person does.
In game the name dosen't make the character, a combination of letters in a database somewhere does.

All the data in GW is stored in a database. Proper database management suggests that every object has to have a unique identifier. Because a character with a name can be deleted and the name re-used, or a name-change be made, the unique identifier would be called something like char_id and every character would have a unique number, preventing reuse.
The items created in-game and customised for a character are customised to the char_id number and the current char_name is appended to the item on display so even if a character name changes or a new character with the same name is created, the item will only be connected to the original character.

It's the most logical way to look at it. I can see where it came off as sarcastic, but perhaps you were in a bad mood when you read it so it seemed more so?
