When I try to load Guild Wars it says connecting and then it stays at 0%. Is there a way to fix this.

check your firewall settings,
i use zonealarm and after every game update i have to allow the game permission to access the internet again...

No doesn't work. It's after I select a character.
Edit: I tried reinstalling it but now it doesn't even let me past the inlog screen

I'm having the same issue, never had this before. Let's me choose a character and twice let me into guild hall but won't allow me to go into any town, get's stuck at 0% and then say's error 005.

Try disabling your firewall and AV and run GW. If it works then, its either your firewall or AV.

I disabled my firewall and AV, farthest it let's me go is guildhall, get code 005 when trying to go to town, same as with both enabled. Everything was fine until last game update, not sure it that could be the problem.

Sometimes if you Reboot your PC it seems to get rid of the problem

Just another option to try

I'll try that. Because I uninstalled the game the installed it again didn't work made it even worse. Put off my firewall and anti-virus didn't work. Hopefully this will work.

Check out the following page from the old support site. It still provides the best info you can get for connection issues:

I'm beginning to think this has something to do with my internet. There are several sites I can't acces lately. And it has been really slow.

I'm good now. Reset my modem and now I have access to GW. Thank's Sandor for having my problem and making this thread and thank's for any replies trying to help.
