Bug with points transfer?

Not sure if this is a bug or not but if I had known it was going to happen I wouldn't have done it.

I aligned my guild with the Kurzicks and have been transfering my points over as I have them, however at the moment I am doing the scavenger hunt to get the black moa mini and so had taken the befriending the Luxons quest so I could get into the turtle hatchery. Up until last night I had accumulated just over 5000 Luxon points (showing on the Luxon bar in hero tab) however after donating (what I thought were only Kurzick) faction points to my Kurzick account I found I no longer have the Luxon ones showing. Hovering the mouse over the bar it says I still have that many points on my account however they have been cleared from the unspent bar. So I now find myself having to make up those lost points which is somewhat frustrating

That is not a bug. Every time you spend points for one faction, you loose the same amount of the opposing faction.

It even said so when you donated the Kurzick faction that you lost 5K points of Luxon faction.

You lose opposing some faction when you donate. You should get a note in your message box as well.

When you donate faction points, you lose the same amount of the other faction as well for being "disloyal"

Ah ok thanks, guess I won't be spending any points for a while!

once you get the 10k required for the befriending quest you can go back to doing the kurzick donating ....just get your reward before you donate!

Also, if you have any other characters near that area in the game you can turn in those Befriending quests at the same time to avoid doubling back to get another 10k faction.

Thanks Cosy I figured that would be the case..Neo, no this is the only character I have in the Cantha region but I've made back just over 3000 points farming since I posted this...all this for a bird lol
