Is is still doable to (try) sell party/sweet/alc points?

Now that these items r easier to get, apparently.
Specially now with the Wintersday event.
Or should i just not bother trying selling for a few months, when Winterday and Canthan New Year festival r long enough past?
And will lower quantities sell?
Or r buyers only interested in very large quantities?

In general, I'd say you will have a little better luck getting a decent price if you sell by the stack instead of in smaller quantities.
My observations: Alcohol market is destroyed. This was least in demand to begin with. Spiked are easily picked up at 25-30k/stack, and i've seen as low as WTS 20k. I'm sure people will buy reg nogs at the right price, but that should be 7-10k if the spiked trend applies.
Spammable sweets and party still seem ok at around 100g/pt, but the days of possibly getting 150-200g for spam party are over.
Tonics are pretty cheap (seen WTS 15k/stack) and annoying to burn through a stack if all you want is points. YMMV on prices.
I think the new quest rewards will kill these markets for good. My feeling is that anyone who seriously wants to get the titles will stock up/farm now while prices are low. Once people max the titles, demand drops off severely, particularly since the wintersday consumables dont have gameplay benefits like the candy corn or cupcakes. Also, there are SO many people hardcore farming SD or the new snowball fight that you have to figure that there is going to be plenty of supply for a while (just like the ToT bags).

As poster above said:
More gifts/tot stacks in the game due to new quest/rewards means less cost for single/stacks of points.
You can notice that the Wintersday gifts stacks now are around 25-30k, the same price of a stack of Tot tought they give more supplies. See the new SD reward and the Crush spirit farm, they're lowering the price.
This is how the law of Demand/Offer works....

Given the huge number of points required to max the sweettooth and party titles, I'd say that there is still a market for the items. For example, the only way I'll ever get around to maxxing either one would be to buy most of it (since it's not likely I'd ever farm that many).

WTS WTS WTS , Forget about it. The only way to sell now is to find someone spamming WTB a particular item and sell it for whatever they are giving. If your titles are maxed it is best to avoid actively trying to farm any consumables and just sell whatever you happen to get while doing other things. Still have a stack of snowmen I can't sell. Anet made sure anyone who wanted to max their titles this wintersday could do so this year.

Now, if only ANet would make sure that those who want to max other things (minis, armor, etc.) get the same consideration, since we can no longer depend on the income from title consumables to fund the process. Making the titles easier is a fine thing, but there are consequences (presumably unintended) for some of the rest of us.

Yeah, the new rewards are pretty crazy. I'd always wanted incorrigable ale-hound because it was a funny title, and slowly worked toward it since titles were first introduced. During and after Halloween I made a big push, rocketing from around 3000 to max. While I don't regret buying all the absinthe I could afford, the Wintersday rewards gave me about 5000 points worth of alcohol after I'd maxed the title.
Given the current market, I just found a guildie with a maxed sweet title and traded all for all, didn't even bother trying to match point for point or check market value. I just wanted my storage and inventory space back.

After over a year of hoarding all my Nick stuff, I have all the points I need for party/sweet/drunk. So I'm not farming Wintersday gifts, but I am trying to farm Vanguard Rep on my aspiring GWAMM with SD. The gifts are starting to pile up; and I already have an entire Xunlai pane full of ToT stacks (helped a friend get Survivor with skeleton farming) that I'm sitting on, hoping that supply will go down and the market will improve just a little before I sell. I only have 1 set of elite armor in my hall so far, no weapons, and still need 25 more minis (the expensive ones). I was kind of hoping to turn these ToTs into armor/weapons/minis. But it looks like I'll only be able to cash them in for a portion of what I need.
At least a mini is almost guaranteed from CNY, if you farm the quests enough.

I have trouble selling alcohol. thats the thing i hate selling. mostly because its sooo marked down from 100/per point. Anyone have an accurate current market rate per point? 60g seems a bit too low imo.

I saw a guy spamming "WTB: Alcohol 10g per point" I asked him if he'd had any takers and apparently he had. Looks like some people are really rushing to jettison their cons before they become completely unsellable.

This time it is entirely possible that the prices won't go back up. I think Canthan New Year event can also be expected to have greatly buffed rewards so the amounts of consumables that will enter the economy won't manage to leave it.
During every previous Wintersday since 2005, or almost any other events with special consumable items it was profitable to invest a large amount of gold into stacks of the special items and just resell them in 4-10 months time during a more dry season to practically multiply the invested amount by 2x or 3x (in some special cases in the history far more, like x10). Now since 5th anniversary update (Nick) investing in pure title points during events became much less profitable, and starting this Halloween and Wintersday it became a joke - the stacks aren't even worth the storage space they take! A couple 100k's of stuff now fills whole mules!
Now only the special functionality consumables can be expected to gain value in time after the event... but Wintersday has no such items (Candy Canes were that for the first 3 years but now are really really hard to sell, almost worse than alcohol, people don't buy them for dp removal and they suck as sweet points).

Agree with Yawg. I think the prices will stay as they are, or even continue to fall. It wouldn't surprise me one bit to see Wintersday Gifts going for 20k/stack by the time the event is over (currently 25k/stack).
I've been seeing Eggnog selling for 10k/stack, and Spiked for 25k (40g and 33g per minute respectively). In my opinion, alcohol is *done* as a commodity that you can make a decent profit on. If you find someone WTB at those prices, I'd snap it up in hurry just to clear Xunlai space.
I think you'll see a similar bottoming out in party points, as well. By the end of the event, there'll be so many tonics around that you'll have trouble giving them away.
Sweets may fare a bit better, especially personal cons like apples and corn. But as Yawg said, I wouldn't hold out much hope of getting a decent amount for candy canes.

Do people not realize that the game is already old, and that due to the low number of people coming in, the point of economy stall is coming?
Really, we get very few players that actually plan to go for titles and special prestige items.
You have to realize - eventually, all those stacks of ectos will become worthless - because noone will want another FoW armor set, and there will be no use for them. It's the nature of things.

been stocking up lvl alc at 5k/stk...using it for Drunken Master
tried 10g/ea...no luck even for a single stack but some kind ppl will sell but in small qty.
for sweet u might have to wait till after Easter then might get a gd price.
my ex-guildmate spend less than 2mil to max out all 3 titles ~
may be like most game, everything will be "given" at the final dying stage >.<

I've sold spiked for 25k, snowmen/fruitcakes for 28k (in response to ads). eggnog is anywhere from 8-12K.
also bought yuletide for 20-25k using that money I made form the aforementioned items.
The biggest hit is wintergreen candy canes, which used to be 100g per. Now you'd be hard pressed to get 50g or so (Seen people WTS 10-15k a stack). Similarly, I saw peppermint going for 25K.
EDIT: You can try to sell Frosty/Mischievous Tonic but most people are WTS 12-15K or so and people are buying for less than that (about 10K). I tried spamming them 2 at a time with zoning and it took like 1-2 hours for 4 stacks... so it's a waste of time when yuletide is about 1 per second (17min for the same 4 stacks).
