Hello and thanks for looking into this. I just recently (today) began to start playing Guild Wars after a 2 1/2 year hiatus. Playing again has been fun, but the game, it seems, is freezing my computer every 1-10 min I play. Now Guild Wars is the only game that does this - WoW has absolutely no problems running almost ultra settings and a variety of Steam games have been working as well. Also, the game only freezes when I am playing. If I leave the computer for 30 min or so and come back, it is fine, but as soon as I begin fighting baddies or even running around town, it craps out. When the game freezes, everything is frozen, cursor, picture, and the music is turned into a god awful buzz. I cannot alt+tab or ctrl+alt+del out and am forced to hard start my computer which I would prefer not to have to do. Any help provided would be very much appreciated and followed. The specs of my computer are below:
Alienware m11x laptop
4 gb ram
i-7 520-UM overclockable processor
320g harddrive
Windows 7
1024 NVIDIA GT335M GeForce
Thank you again and have a nice day.

Try reducing the graphics settings in GW

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics drivers. Failing that, try to reinstall Windows if it isn't too inconvenient.

Could this be an overheating issue? Try downloading Speedfan or CPUID HWMoniter and see what your temps are.

You can either copy it from another computer* (or the CD/DVD) using a flash drive or USB external hard drive, or download it from the GW website.

*if you have a desktop computer with GW installed, you can just copy the entire GW folder to the m11x and run gw.exe
