Ok, sorry, but I do not have a simple, easy answer for you.
I got an r9 DF Insectoid Staff as a drop maybe a year ago. At the time, it was a pain to PC, too. I tried to sell it a few times w/out getting any interest, so I just kept it.
Last Dec., I ran into someone in Kama looking to buy that exact staff. He'd been looking for a while. As I didn't really want mine, we got to chatting. It came down to the buyer asking me to name a price. They do seem pretty far off the radar (hard to find when you want to buy one and hard to sell when you have one you don't want.) I looked around Guru and could find that r9 Inspiration ones had sold for 30kish, and I find DF req. is usually more popular than Inspiration req. So I asked 40k. The buyer accepted without hesitation, and we traded. It was quite a friendly conversation the whole time. Afterwards, I asked the buyer out of curiosity what their max offer would have been, and he told me 60k.
So based on the above, I think ...

- r9 ES Insectoid Staff will be hard to sell for any price. It's not the sort of thing you trip over wtb ads for.
- You could probably sell it relatively fast for maybe 20-30k range.
- If you hang onto it and run into a motivated buyer, there's potential that you could get more like 60kish. (I think DF and ES req. staffs like this which come in only attribute per class are roughly in equal demand.)
