I have a Prophecies account and just recently bought the trilogy of Proph, Nightfall, and Factions. Is it possible to register the trilogy games with my original account? And if I do, do I get an additional 15 slots because it's 3 new games?
Or do I have to register the trilogy separately?
Question about the expansion registrations

You can add the Factions and Nightfall one to the Prophecies account you already have , I would use the other Proph one as a mule to carry items you don't need all the time

If it's the one disc/one key trilogy you can add it to your existing account but you'll lose the additional Prophecies. Also, if I remember correctly, you'll just get 4 more character slots, two each for Factions and Nightfall.

Open GW and click "Create Account or Add Access Key". Check the box that says "Add the Access Key to an existing Guild Wars account" and login. Then type the access key that came with the Trilogy and hit Next.

You start with 6 character slots for each original account. So if anything, the false information should lead you to expect to get 18 slots, not 15.
In any case, no.
You start with 6 and get 2 for each full game you add. Since you already have Prophecies, you won't get credit for that again. You will get 2 slots from adding factions and 2 slots from adding Nightfall. This equals 4 extra slots...making your total available slots 10.

where are you getting 6 from? i have a mule account with just prophocies.. and jsut to be sure i just logged onto it.. only 4 character slots. so looks like you yourself have some false info

- Accounts (the first campaign) come with 4 character slots
- Each additional campaign adds 2 slots
An account with one campaign has 4 slots, with two campaigns 6, with all three campaigns 8.

My bad, forgot that I had bought 2 slots to have 1 character of each profession.
Just took the 2 slots per campaign (have 4 from campaigns) and subtracted that from my 10 slots.

I did this a few weeks back. Had started with Proph GOTY edition, then bought the Trilogy off Steam. I contacted NCSoft Support before I registered the Trilogy because I wanted to be sure I'd understand what was going to happen.
When you buy the Trilogy and add it to an existing account, you don't get any benefit from whichever chapter you were already using. In this case, Prophecies. You do get 4 additional character slots, as previously mentioned. Two for each of the chapters you do not already have.
To me, losing one "copy" of Prophecies was worth it given the reasonable price I'd paid for the Trilogy. I still came out very much ahead compared to if I had bought Nightfall & Factions separately. Perhaps if I had not already invested so much time on the toon I started with in my original version of Prophecies, I might have set up the Trilogy as a completely separated account - but I wanted to take THAT toon into Nightfall & Factions, not start something new.
All I had to do was log into my NCSoft account and associate the key for the Trilogy I'd just bought with my existing account... it automatically did everything else for me and the process went flawlessly. If you're at all worried about what to do, send their support an email... they were more than willing to give me step-by-step instructions on what to do and what to expect. I THOUGHT the process would be much more complex than it actually was (because of something I'd read on the Steam forums, which I should have ignored LOL).

In my opinion, you'd be better off creating a new account with the trilogy key. You COULD add it to your existing account, but you'll just be upgrading it to have the campaigns you were missing. If you add it to a new account you can keep the original with just prophecies for storage and dual farming purposes.

you have 2 options really
Install as a second account and you will have 2 seperate games.
Old Prophesies account 6 character slots
and a new account Prophesies + Factions + Nightfall with a total of 6+2+2 slots
Or
Old Prophesies account + Factions + Nightfall 6+2+2 slots
And a new Prophesies account
If you have a lot of time and effort in your prophesies account then I would add the new keys to your old account.
This will allow your present characters to cross into those games.
If you only have the one key for all then you will lose the extra prophesies character slots if you add them to your old account
Seperate keys give you more choices of how you install the game
