The preview of chapter 2 in gaming world magazine said well over 1 million copies of GW have been sold so I guess its somewhere around that figure :P

Pretty sure the actual amount of players is a lot less than the amount of sold copies. Easy to buy the game as you don't really have to pay monthly fees, much easier to discard, than with a game you paid a year subscription to
