I've returned to the game after a 2 year break but had only played the game for a few days.
I have now created an Assassin/Warrior 12 hours game time at level 19 and I'm currently using the basic Sai from the weapons merchant, but I have seen weapons with tags like Fortitude and I know these are from components.
I just don't know where to get access to specific components or must I just do missions until I find the mod I need then salvage the component?
My build question is I'm unsure as to whether or not I am playing right. Current Build:
11 Dagger Mastery
10+1 Critical Strike
5 Shadow Arts
Jagged Strike|Fox Fangs|Death Blossom|Shadow Refuge|Death's Charge|Shroud of Distress|Critical Eye|Dash
I'm not asking for a perfect build I'm just looking for some advice so that I can play my character correct and effectively.

heres what i use for a build.
12+1+1 dagger mastery
12+1 critical strikes
Asuran Scan|Jagged Strike|Fox Fangs|Death Blossom|Way of the Assassin (E)|Critical Eye|Critical Agility|"Save Yourselves"|
Now that build isn't necessarily set in stone. I prefer this, due to the utility from save yourselves, and I run Discord, so Asuran Scan is nice for calling. You could easily lower your dagger mastery to 11+1+1 and put some points in shadow arts and bring some healing, but I add monk henchies/ healing heroes for that. I also prefer way of the assassin for the IAS, and for the increased chance of critical hit, making energy management even easier. But, on the topic of energy management, lets talk about the daggers you should use.
You can get daggers as a drop from missions and quests or killing stuff. But, by far the most efficient way to get the daggers you need, is to buy them from another player. Here is the daggers I personally use with this build.
Zealous Korambits of Fortitude
Energy gain on hit: 1
Energy Degeneration: -1
"Strength of Honor"
Damage +15% (While health is above 50%)
Health +30
Heres why i use those mods. Armor penetration isn't a necessity with the assassins attack speed, so you will get the most use from a zealous or vampiric dagger set. I prefer zealous, due to the fact that you will be spamming dagger skills, and energy is required for them, so why not get as much energy as possible? Secondly, strength of honor is always good on martial weapons, thats just a given. Finally, the fortitude mod. You are a frontline character, and you will get beat up. You NEED to have some health. Running around with 400 health as an assassin will not do you good. So, naturally, the fortitude is there to help a little bit.
Now, im not sure if you really need help on this subject, but in case someone else reading this is, ill elaborate on armor a bit. For armor, I reccomend full survivor insignias, with the runes for stats, and vitae/ sup vigor. As mentioned with the fortitude on the daggers, you need health, and that setup will put you where you wanna be.
In conclusion, I hope this helped! Let me know if you have anymore questions! Have fun

11 Dagger Mastery
10+1 Critical Strike
5 Shadow Arts For armor, run full blessed if you run enchantments. Runes are more important I believe, since they allow you to hit breakpoints on Critical strikes. But it's not an "either" situation, get both if you can.
Firstly, for PvE +5 defense mod is stronger than +30HP mod. You can buy mods off other players but in general they come from purple/gold colored drops (use an expert salvage kit to pull it off).
You also want +5 energy instead of 15>50 since most of your damage comes from your attack skills, not your autoattacks. The 15>50 mod only ups damage on autoattacks.
For an assassin you want zealous, vampiric, or furious (if running adrenaline skills like Save Yourselves!).
Also, pump Dagger Mastery since you do more damage that way. The breakpoints for Critical Strikes are 8 and 13 off the top of my head so you want to be at those breakpoints (one more energy gain on critical at 13). You aren't using critical strikes skills or critical agility so you don't need Critical Strikes to be as high actually, and upping CS to 13 would allow dropping Critical eye since you get 1 additional energy.
At level 19 you have 155 attribute points out of 200
So I would say with your current setup:
10+1 Dagger (61 points)
11+1+1 Critical Strikes (use Critical Strikes headpiece to get to 13 , 77 points)
5+1 Shadow arts (15 points)
= 153/155 attribute points
Jagged Strike|Fox Fangs|Death Blossom|Shadow Refuge|Death's Charge|Shroud of Distress|(Optional of your choice, res preferable)|Dash
Optional: Malicious Strike/Twisting Fangs/Golden Fox Strike/Disrupting Stab
Alternately, keeping Critical eye:
11+1+1 Dagger (77 pts)
7+1 Critical Strikes (28 pts)
9+1 shadow arts (48)
=153/155 attribute points
Jagged Strike|Fox Fangs|Death Blossom|Shadow Refuge|Death's Charge|Shroud of Distress|Critical Eye|Dash

I'm not asking for a perfect build I'm just looking for some advice so that I can play my character correct and effectively. Build looks good, get rid of the Shadow crap as soon as you can and you'll be fine. Particularly Death's Charge is dangerous if used wrong, you might wanna skimp on shadowstepping until your armor level is sufficiently buffed. For weapons, consider greens for efficiency/cost ratio at first (for instance, Darkroot's Daggers). Zealous is the mod to go for, 15^50 or 15^enchanted both work out fine.

Life - at lvl 19 and a factions chr he should be really higher than 155 - hes only 1 lvl shy of 20 and should also have done both attribute quests ( extra 30 points ) - unless they changed factions where you gain 45 points for going from lvl 19 to 20.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Helped me out a lot.

bro-hem welcome back to Guild Wars. playing a sin isn't very hard at all and you've missed a lot. the build doesn't really matter at the moment. what You need is to worry about lvling to 20 first, doing so is fairly easy such as (expensively) buying Kathanrdax hammers[EOTN] or gunners hold Kilroy punch-out] 1-2 hours[EOTN]. then use PvXwiki for frequently used builds/Gamependium.com for fun gimmick builds that can get you through the game. whether your going to be a casual player or a speedclear both these sites are helpful. andi wouldnt worry too much (again said) about your build theres supposedly going to be an update to have 7 heros. Just experiment with a build and when in doubt ...A/Mo it with Zealous dagger tang and bring healing breeze...resort to things so simple its fun.
Whisper me in game if you need help and i can give u a lowdown of it.
