Not sure if this necessarily the right forum, but it is a question.
(Please move if it isn't)

Does anyone know why the Centurion's Insignia prices suddenly increased to two platinum (from like 100 gold)? (actually they've been their about half a month now)

Is there some new meta i missed? Because my Paragon is my primary o___O

Two reasons: Thackery is a paragon hero and people haven't farmed insignia dropping monsters for 2 weeks. Wintersday drove farmers to SDD instead of normal farms. Just wait 2 weeks.

Rune/insignia prices go completely wonky during festivals, because people are usually farming other things. And, yeah, the Thackeray addition has probably driven up the price as well.

That said, have Centurion prices really been 100g too recently? I started tracking the valuable ones to salvage off drops about a year ago, and it's always been on my list. Beginning of 10/2010, they were 700g to buy from the trader. *shrug*

I do the same... as of the end of November, they were selling for 1p 200g

It's easier for me to keep them noted down in a notebook than to constantly switch to outposts with Rune Traders and check. This way I can do a quick salvage/sell and stick the rune in my storage until I'm in an outpost with a Trader, and be rid of all the comparatively useless ones by merch'ing the armor unsalvaged.

you do realize that sometimes if you ID the runes/insigs, the more unwanted ones (ie 30g at rune traders) can sell to the regular merchant for a bit higher (sometimes up to 200g each)
