WiK Wanted - Harder?
Kelfer
The WiK quests seem to have changed in some way. Having problems completing these at first go and that in NM!
I have a good team and it used to work before the Wintersday event.
Have there been any changes or maybe a bug was introduced?
Maybe A'Net wants to to stop the Medal raping / WTS Oppressor weaps thingy.

It happens that i have same problem sometimes . I am dying to nothing or things that i normally do easily. However i do believe that's more linked to Heroes or henchs IA. And , anyway , the medal raping stop isn't a possibility : check how easily you get medals from Hearts of the north quests....

The spawns are random. You might have just gotten the worst spawn for your team setup. (i.e. Expel hexes or Blessed Light monk on Discord)

Its possibly more down to human error - ive had it before where on a monk i did the wanted bounty with no probs for a change but when i went as sin with same hero setup i got totally owned but only was due to be being too relaxed - hell a sins got more ar etc etc and i screwed myself up lol.
These days i go into a zone expecting trouble rather than thinking its going to be dead easy.

i have not had any problems and i just stand there and let heros kill

Yup, prolly this: "These days i go into a zone expecting trouble rather than thinking its going to be dead easy. "
Plus randomness of crowds, being a bit lazy and not pulling right....
/sigh
Thanks for the comments

I find that you have you aggro bubble, with WiK double it's size for the vacuum patrols (you know the ones that run away/patrol nowhere near you but as soon as you or h/h land a hit on a monster, they out of the blue shamble toward you)
WiK does seem to have random difficulty though, surely thats a good thing?

Wrath of m0o
I have also noticed that since the Wintersday update, WiK mobs are packing an extra punch, and extra hard rezzes.

I think the reason the difficulty seems to differ from fairly simple to quite difficult at times is that foes with the same name don't necessarily run the same build each time.
Look at Divine Peacekeepers: http://www.guildwiki.org/Divine_Peacekeeper
They could have one of four builds; and some are definitely harder than others. For example, I'd (as a melee) rather face the smite build rather than the protector build. Thus, even though the mobs look the same, the actual difficulty of that mob isn't really determinable until you actually fight them.

I've noticed no changes and I regularly do the bounties across many characters.

Are you serious? I just did the Battle for Lion's Arch quest on my rit, who doesn't have infused armor. I was SOS spammer, with minion bomber necro, resto necro and communing spirit spammer rit (party of 4 in NM). I died about 5 times due to the infused armor problem, we only wiped once during the final wave (still on the hill, got swamped), but then easily completed it @ 30 minutes, at the bottom of the stairs...
I've done a few of the wanted quests lately, they still seem a breeze - just target the appropriate enemies first (res/healers)...

Build 1: Mild single target interruption (that will not be used on anything half the time as the rangers will target non-casters). Lol Degen.
Build 2: How cute, a ranger trying to do damage. And he brought easily interrupted healing spring!
Build 3: HOLY FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK my H/H group that insists on standing shoulder-to-shoulder just got owned in one splinter barrage. Plus they even carry antidote signet so you can't blind them.

You know Sliverblade I think your right, I have been doing UW runs on my Rit/ and sometimes I go in and do quite well. Other times I go in and have a heck of a time killing stuff and my spirits die fast. So I am thinking like you their builds change. BTW Silverblade how are ya?
Hobbs
Mobs in UW are the same every time when it comes to skills, their spawn positions vary slightly though which could account for your varying success. Right now the only mobs I can think of that change their skills are the WiK ones.

Yeah, besides Monks and Rits, Peacekeeper Marksmen have become primary targets, just in case one happens to run that Barage/Splinter build.
I'll try to have my Gwen cast Empathy on them

Didn't have problems with H/H on normal or hard mode when I did it. However I've done the quest Rise about 20 times and some spawns are definitely much harder than the others.
The healer/res spawns give me the most problems, lost to it twice. The necro spawns give me quite a bit of problem, but I'm usually able to beat it. The rest are quite easy and I'm able to do it while watching TV or something.

My most despised WIK mobs are usually the eles (searing flamers and unsteady ground especially!), mesmers (the WoH mesmers are obnoxious, and constantly being afflicted by empathy sucks) and certain monks (mainly the displacement peacekeepers or the abbots that carry signet of binding). As for troublesome bounties, Justiciar Kasandra is by far my most despised target. Her group is always such a pain to deal with.

EDIT: that mesmer build somewhere in search is a great replacement to the curses necro/communing rit... But I didn't use it this time, LOL!
