Love the video.
It's a shame there's so many people that rush through and don't appreciate the artwork.

Thank you for posting this. As a fan, I am so impressed to see the humble beginnings blossom into what it is today. I love this game on its current form, and I have the greatest of hopes for Guild Wars 2! Those clips look amazing!
tcratty
looks amazing PLEASE release it now

As critical as I can be of Anet's design policies, the development in terms of art from inh ouse testing of GW1 to where GW2 is now is pretty impressive.

lol
am I the only one who saw the ANET building at the beginning and thought "...they make games there?" Looks like a dentist office or something...I was expecting ANET offices to look more like, well, a business office.

Cool video. I was expecting more stuff about GW retrospective than the people who made it but I guess it was called behind the scenes for a reason. Why is that random dude with the white board holding a dog? Is that a new public speaking technique I'm not in on? Speak loudly and carry a tiny dog?
The little glimpses we got of Vabbi reminded me of how much more impressive some of those locations look from the cinematic view than they do in game. Sounds like the charr is going to be a popular race with the GW1 crowd.
The building they show at the beginning of the video (I'm guessing that's ArenaNet HQ) looks like a really nice place to work. Also, why was Gaile Gray not interviewed in the video?

I know you want to watch those GW2 screens a bit slower: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZYBT0Z69eM The quality could have been better but I don't have enough time. If you do, go for it.

Very Impressive but I'm shocked that so many employees went with Charr
Aqrab
Pretty interesting, always wanted to know how everything was behind the scenes.

They certainly give an air that they know what they're doing and care about the game that they're producing in this video. I was kinda hoping to see more faces from the GW Live team though.
Darcy
Thanks for the link. That is a great video.

Great video gave some good views of how they see the game.
I agree with those who say they will probably play the sylvari race they are promising to be just so new that I just have to try them out.
Seen all the others in GW1 so unless there is another race we don't know about yet I will be a plant person first.
Pity they didn't put dwarves in they are one of the most popular rpg races imo but hey if they all disappeared that's it.
I am curious to see one part of the game it was mentioned on the wiki pages and I quote "There will also be environmental weapons, such as siege machines or beer mugs, which will alter a character's skills when picked up"
Beer mug environmental weapon that I got to see.

Great video! Sweet to see everything that has happened and cant wait to see everything that will happen!
Edit: When Mike O'Brien said, .."So we just told em, straight from the beginning, we're gonna have to go away for a while and make this game and your not gonna hear a lot while we're makin this game..."
Why dont I remember them saying we wont hear from them for a while (2 years)? Because they originally said that they wanted a beta in 2008 right?

Woaw, nice video. People did laugh at how GW got awarded the community award but i genuinly think this videos shows the connection between between player and designer. There GW office seems like an awesome place to be.
I like how when they mentioned asura, they were saying people are complaining as they dont quite konw what asura are able to do etc but then the guy said he'll play one just because of a certain proffesssion. Keeping us in the dark is really worth it and its been so many years already since that hundreds of pages thread created from a snippet of a magazine article.

"If we've been having fun playing the game for 3 years before it was released, then we know you're going to have fun..."
-and-
"and start enjoying what you've been enjoying for the past, 3 years, and start to be able to see..."
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I'd say that if there was any doubt GW2 would be released this year, that lays it to rest.
Loved this video... loved seeing more of the graphics... and I'm more excited than ever about GW2!

Anyone else notice that in several of the shots where they were showing GW2 artwork that had already won industry awards, the artwork was labeled and several of the titles contained "Knight" in them? Perhaps that's our 2nd frontline profession..........
My personal guesses are:
Melee (2 profs)
Warrior
Knight
Adventurer (3 profs)
Ranger
Rogue
Engineer
Scholar (3 profs)
Elementalist
Necromancer
Mesmer
