Question about "click to move" and strafing
Liquidus
I recently started playing GW again and am trying to get the hand of playing a monk in RA. From what I'm reading about keyboard layouts, some people believe that only using the mouse to move is the best option for a monk. Using this method, am I supposed to run with my back facing enemy melee? Doesn't that cause their hits to be auto criticals? Is there some way I can still strafe and kite? Thanks.

You should use both - keyboard movement AND 'click to move', depending on situation. For kiting a melee it's good to start moving backwards (keyboard) and immediately after receiving a hit clicking to run back at full speed.

Yes, I've also read some posts advocating using both the keyboard and mouse. However, I am looking specifically at Awowa's key bindings shown here. I realize that this doesn't work for everyone, but as you can see, qwerasdf are used for skills 1-8 meaning that there's no keyboard movement whatsoever. Does that simply mean that Awowa never strafes?
edit: Turns out someone asked a similar question in the thread and Awowa answers it here if anyone is interested.

The Korean styled layouts are, if you can effectively handle them, the best. The catch is that they're pretty difficult to get used to. Additionally it gets progressively harder if you constantly have differing teams, since you want to have all the positions of your teams characters down to intuition.
