I am red-green color blind. I cannot tell my party members from the mobs in the mini map. This is very important when bonding and staying within range. For me, it is impossible to tell my ally from the mobs in the mini map.

Are there any texmods or other possible solutions to this issue?

Thanks!

The only option I know of would be with TexMod and I don't know if any mods for it exist.

Would making the team/ally dots white, and enemy dots black, help? Let me know so I can make a texture mod. Because I searched and I couldn't find anything that would help you.

Ahhh you guys are too nice. The issue is not with red, or green. It only arises when red and green are next to each other. At that point, they both look exactly the same.

As long as they are separate I can see red or green "just fine". Good enough to tell which color they are.

As for a mod, I think the only thing I need to see is the ally. Yellow/Blue would be awesome!

I am impressed that you even have an idea or where to start for something like this! I would and am, completely lost and without ideas.

Should be a relatively easy texmod. What colors should the minimap dots be so that colorblind people can distinguish them?

edit: I got ninja-ed

I think most red/green color blind people would probably benefit from yellow/blue

Yellow allies blue enemies?

This might be something they should cover for GW2 because as I understand it red green colour blindness is one of the more common types.

Should be simple enough for them to give us colour control in an update.
I say that knowing nothing about programming lol

A friend used to have a heck of a tough time playing pool and snooker because of that.
Not to mention red chalk on those green boards that were popular a while back.

We won't have enemy dots on the map in GW2, so this won't be a problem then.

Even better would be to choose a different role in the meantime so you are less dependent on the minimap. With the percentage of colorblind people in the world, there are bound to be quite a few playing this game, and it hasn't been an issue until now, almost 6 years into the life of it. Cope on your own, and learn how to place yourself within radar range of your team based on where you see them on the battlefield. You don't need to be a full minimap distance away from your frontliners when bonding.

I cannot tell which areas I have vanquished because the only was is helmet color and the colors on the maps are too much alike.
