NC Soft Hold on Credit Card??

Yesterday I bought and loaded Nightfall and then tried to buy Eye of the North....."for security reasons there is a hold on this" (or similar wording). I then clicked on the "need more info on this" and was taken to Questions & Answers area. This says to look at Knowledge Base - but I keep going in a loop and end up where I started.

This was Explained about the Security Reasons BUT I can't find anywhere WHAT the WAITING period is!

Very very frustrating. I tried In Game Store and get a pop-up box about Fraud Suspicion (again something like that).

ANYONE know what the waiting period is for buying thru NCSoft??

I could only buy ONE game at a time - there was no Shopping Cart (that I could see) or I would have bundled this purchase.

NC Soft only allows so much money from one card and/or address to be paid each month to help prevent credit card fraud.
The duration is 30 days from the first purchase.

The longer you buy things regularly, the more they seem to raise your spending limit. I personally started with a $30 a month limit and they have since raised it to $80.

Holy Cow RedDog!! One MONTH!! That is crazy!

I just called our local GameStop and they do not have Eye of the North in stock and the closest GameStop that does is 70 miles away ROFL!

Guess it boils down to a different credit card OR Amazon.com and wait while it ships.

I ran into a similar problem when buying my storage panels. the NCSoft store wouldn't let me just buy multiple in one transaction, and then it didn't seem to want to let me buy more than one panel per day. My account was still pretty new, and I'd only just started making purchases, so I just assumed it was a temporary thing to help combat CC fraud.

I since learned that the in-game store apparently has more of a "shopping cart" style, and that I could have bought all 4 panels in one transaction, but I hadn't even realized it existed. That's how my best friend bought his, though.

You might want to call your CC company and just let them know that you made that purchase... we ran into a problem a couple of months ago where our CC company froze our account as a security measure because we made what they considered to be a questionable gaming purchase online. It didn't actually have anything to do with the company we were buying from...it wasn't on their end, they didn't actually enact the hold... it was on our CC company's end. Better safe than sorry, I guess.

GW trilogy and EOTN were recently on sale at Gamestop, and sadly we don't carry many PC games. It doesn't help that the games are listed as deactivated in our system, meaning that once a store sells out they'll never get more in. One of my coworkers decided to get GW and had to have another store ship us their copy of the Trilogy (he told them it was for a customer, sneaky XD).

Also check at places like Target or Walmart, you could probably find it there.

I just called Target and WalMart (super stores across the street from each other and 2 miles away from me) and neither one has it - in fact WalMart doesn't even list it as an option on their main site!

Used NewEgg - $5.99 + sh - not bad! Steam wanted $30 - so even with overnight shipping I made out better.

NCSoft just lost a sale. (well sort of anyway lol).

Seems that NCSoft puts a hold on the ACCOUNT and not the Credit Card or address.

I tried a different CC and it would Not let me - same message.

I can see a HOLD of maybe 24 hours - but 30 DAYS!! OR some way to "over-ride" by calling a phone number or some other verification option!!!

so this means if i bought something ( i.e-2 costumes) in dec. i have to wait until i can use my gift card again to buy more items? o.o
