That's just the starter armor. You can get armor that looks similar to the one on the box cover pretty early in the game. As for your face, it's' hardly noiticable half the time, plus you're going to be wearing a mask so only your eyes will show.
Personally, I really hope the new costumes they'll be releasing for the Cantha content will have some new threads for the Sin. Something like Yuri the Hand:
I like how my ssin looks, only the name sucks atm, but I wasn't in a creative mood when I created her I guess..
Anyway, most of the faces are pretty good, but there are really ugly ones too..
I say, let the company do their best in GW2, which, from what I've seen, they're doing, and your eyes will pop out of your head of the prettyness and artyness you'll witness there..
At least, that's what they promised us, better don't under deliver, or my pitchfork and my torch will be brought up^^
I don't have PvE assassin because I hate assassins from the beginning (first because of afflicted soul explosion killing anime freaks and now because of AoHM scythe sins that break the game...not the mention the completely blade covered armors). My PvP assassin is male for the reason that the female ones all look drunk or high. Not that the male ones are much better.
Anyway, they should add more faces for new characters, but don't charge 14.99 for them. For changing old characters, it should still be $9.99 for 5 changes.
couldnt agree more. assassins and rits really got screwed over with appearance. i'd kind of like to poke whoever came up with them in the eye... sucks that you can use the makeover kit to "upgrade" the appearance of the the core professions, but youre stuck with the same ole crap as the start screen if you do it for sin, para, rit, and derv. even 2-3 more faces/hair styles(and color) for non core would be nice.
i've kind of been partial to the idea of once you have a campaign the faces/hair/skin should be "unlocked". Say you make an ele in nightfall, but you want her to have proph hair and a factions face, you should be able to, so long as you have the campaign. wouldnt think it would really be hard to implement. but then they went and put in the makeover dude....
