No-req shields

According to the wiki, it is possible to get shields with 10 armor and no requirements as loot, but I've never seen one. Anyone know where those can be found?

According to our low-req research thread, the max armor of a no-req shield is 8. This is also on the official wiki. I'll edit the unofficial wiki for you .

Hassin's Shell (Istan green) used to be 10 armor (and +20 hp), but they lowered the armor to 8 in an update

Crude shield has 10 armor I believe and +20 HP, but i don't remember where i found mine.

EDIT AGAIN: Sorry just got in game, apparently it is a low req shield, i didnt think it had req at all. but if you need a low req shield this only reqs 4 tactics

Not they're not.

Wintergreen, Candycane and the Hassin's Shell were all brought down to 8 Armor so they wouldn't be imbalanced when compared to weilding any shield without meeting the requirement.

Shields with 10 Armour and no requirement don't exist. Certainly not inscribable anyway.

8 armor was ALWAYS the highest possible for random drop shields.

There were a few "special" shields (Candy Cane, Gingerbread, Hassin's Shell) which had 10 armor without requirements but they ALL got nerfed down to 8 in an update in december 2006.

Wintergreen shields didn't exist before this update so they never had 10 armor.
