Zaishen Elite Switch Over Time

Currently if you do Zaishen Elite and you start at 18:45 and you get the max 6000 Balthazar, then you cannot start it before 18:45 the next day before you get any Balthazar. Can this not be changed to switch over at the same time as the zaishen mission/bonus rather. That is at the same time as Nicholas is also set to switch on a Monday. There may be an objection that someone could start before the switch and get more than the max, but I think that would only happen once.

Don't you just have to wait 24hours?

So if you change the time you play to be at the same time the Zaishen Missions come out then the next day you'll be able to start at that time as well...

zaishen elite/challenge is a 24hr litmitation thats sort of at your end - if it was say 3pm daily then players could cheat and do it at 2:30pm first time then wait 30 mins and do it again and amass the 12k fast.Its been set by your time for a long time now which is actually fair to make you wait 24hrs if your that bothered about getting bal faction then the better alternative which isnt restricted is ab/jq/fa/GvG and hero battles and im actually surprised that after all this time anets kept zaishen elite as its basically 6k a day free bal faction which takes no skill or intelligence to do - hell year or 2 ago you used to be able to farm the 2k within 10 mins max on just an ele solo but least now you need 4 actual players.

Err nicholas doesnt switch at 6:45pm on a monday - His location and requested item changes weekly, which occurs at 15:00 UTC (7:00 AM PST) on Monday. ( quoted off wiki ) When hes located by players is different as sometimes it takes an hr or 2 to be found depending how well hidden he is

That is the point - I start at a time after the last time I started. But I do not get home and am able to start at exactly the same time daily - so it ends up as a start time creep. Because it has to be at least 24 hours since you last played. Making it a fixed time as the other zaishen stuff would keep an equivalent mechanism more or less without the creep.

It would be better if it was 20h with max 5000, or 18h with max 4000. With 24 hours if you plan on doing it every day then you have to do it later and later each day and eventually have to skip a day for it to 'reset' and allow you to do it earlier. Tbh nothing should be limited on exact 24h intervals.

Yeah, most games that have these kinds of cooldown times dropped them by a few hours so that people could do them at the same time each day. It works very well. I'm in the same situation as the OP. My reset day was actually yesterday when I skipped, and did this morning before work.

And? You still get the same amount of points over the same number of days. It doesn't matter if you do them back to back right around reset, it's still 12k points over 2 days. Just like Z quests.. I usually fill up my mission and bounty quests to 3 each, then do them all at once for lots of coins. But it's still the same amount of coins regardless of when/how you do it.

I addressed your first point already in my discussion. Nicholas does switch here at 5.00pm or 6.00pm on Mondays. We generally only know where he is at about 7.30pm and we have a whole week to farm. But I was talking about creep and 6:45 was just an example. The 24 hours would be better if it was not done as me as the clock. I have just a few more keys left to do and it is not a train smash as far as I am concerned, but a silly mechanic that should be rectified. Its a bit like dropping the use of heroes by accident on purpose here. Perhaps that too should be rectified.

I dont even farm ZE and its obvious to me how irritating that could be if you actually had a life. And it doesnt sound like a very hard fix at all.

i do ZE mostly every day and its really annoying to lets have to skip a day(beacuse your timer went to like 11pm and you need sleep) simply beacuse you have a life and cant do it every 24hrs.

I fully agree, as a working college student, the time when I can get on is highly random. One day I might be able to get on at 1 PM my time, another day it won't be until 9 PM, and then I have to skip the next day because I need to be up at 5 AM, and staying awake until I can do it again that night is against the question. Some of us like the free 6k each day, because it's mindless, nearly fool proof, and it gets 1 zkey per day, +1 every fifth day. But with my schedule its ~3 zkeys per week because I can't login and get the faction for that day either due to my schedule or the 24 hour wait.

It should be 20-23 hour reset.

Even if you can get on at the same time every day, you will be off by a few minutes and once you start getting off the only way to fix it is to skip a day. Otherwise you find yourself staying up to 1AM to do it....

this is the reason I stopped farming it. Too annoying and I have betterthings to do than sitting there waiting for the 24hr mark, like rl

Having it on a 24 hour timer makes it really hard to do it every day unless you set an alarm and do it at the same time each day, which in the real world (or my real world) is not possible. Having it reset same time as the Z quests would be fair.
