Okay so umm, I've been farming Glint's challenge for Brotherhood armors with my main character. Decided to bring along my old Ranger from another account to tag along on the challenge in order to earn 2x more rewards as that was my only level 20 character on that account.
At the moment my Ranger just stands in the middle next to the baby dragon with a level 20 Dire Wolf and casts Winter for the first wave. Other than that she just AFKs there till the end. I took a look at all the Nature Rituals but they all look pretty worthless. Is there any low micro build (eg. only need to spam spells every 30 - 60 seconds) to make my Ranger more useful?
Things to note: My ranger only has Prophecies and EotN, so non-core professions and non-core/Prophecies skills are out as well.
Low-micro build for a primary Ranger? (dual account farming)

You aren't mentioning your build so I can't give you concrete skill choices...
Not many things like that within the ranger skills in general though. Check out the maintained enchants you could run with secondaries (e.g. Strength of Honor) and the possibility of using it as a mule for any elite skill you want to use arcane mimicry on. If you had Factions you could also have a spirit spammer.

Edge of Extinction might be useful.

Sorry guys, should have mentioned my build. I've got 2 Ritualist heroes, one SoS/Restoration, the other is a SoGM spammer. My 3rd hero is a MM bomber/Protection necro. I'm a fire elementalist with YMLAD, Finish Him, Ebon Vanguard Assasins and Assasins Promise.
I considered taking Edge of Extinction because it'd be extremely deadly as all mobs are destroyers, but it'd probably be even more lethal to my own minions. Although it'd be kinda hilarious though as they are bombers so everything will probably blow up like a chain reaction - destroyers and minions alike.
But ultimately I think it'll end up working more against me since I tend to get a bit overrun by melée mobs when I don't have my minion wall. Maybe I might get it for just the first wave.
Would taking along Animate Bone Fiends be a good idea? Or should I just stick with maintaining enchantments.

its not farming its grinding and you've extended it to two accounts at the same time.
what a hassle.
you cant even use it as a passive bonder.
boot it on entry then u will have 6 mobile heroes to use

Actually I've been H/Hing it with a team of 8 the whole time without the need for splitting. The only wave that really benifits from splitting is the first wave, but they bunch up so much that a single meteor shower wipes everything out. The second wave benefits a lot too, but I'm able to hold the middle ground with ease.
Anyway thanks so much for all the advice. Guess I just needed to get used to doing it with 7 players and make some small adjustments. Just breezed through the mission earlier with just 7 players (Ranger was AFK next to Glint the whole mission except to cast Winter twice). 22 minutes, 2048 points. Nothing spectacular, but pretty decent seeing how I'm running a H/H team with one player down.

But anyway the point was that I wanted a second character to reap 2x the rewards. Soloing it with H/H was never a problem to begin with.

Throw some nature rituals on it and some wards maybe. And an EVAS you can hit every 20-30 seconds for an extra body. Destroyers are particularly vulnerable to cold damage. Winter maybe?
Go R/Me and try Echo + Arcane Echo + EVAS, winter, Radiation Field, great dwarf armor, etc.
idk
