Switching Guild Faction Alliance

Alrighty, here's my problem:

I am currently in a Luxon guild (I am the Guild leader). Well, the rest of the guilds in the alliance I am currently in are Kurzick guilds. So, I have decided "Hey, I want to switch over to Kurzick!".

So, I do everything I thought I needed to do; I spent more Kurzick faction than I did Luxon, I did "Befriending the Kurzicks". I have done the quest after that, but I have no done that last mission.

I have NO Luxon faction on my account, except the "50 (Luxon)" I have in my guild alliance.

AM I MISSING SOMETHING?!

The Kurzick Ambassador keeps telling me "I have ties with the Luxons... I must sever the ties.. Blah Blah Blah."

I don't understand. PLEASE help.

I beg to differ, sir.


It is impossible to have a luxon guild in an alliance with a kurzick guild.

The other guilds are Luxon as well. They are your ties to the luxon armada. You will not be able to change to kurzick while in an alliance with them because they are luxon. If you left the alliance you could switch to kurzick but then you would not be able to rejoin because of statement number 2.

you can be in a kurzick alliance and be luxon, only drawback is no guilds in the alliance are able to gain faction. you will need to leave the alliance change to kurzick then rejoin the alliance. http://www.guildwiki.org/Kurzick_Ambassador

this is only in regards to forming an alliance once formed they may switch without disbanding however the may not transfer faction till all guilds change. the op had a glitch or something that prevented the change till she left.

You're misreading what it's saying. What it means is that all guilds in an alliance must be Kurzick, or all must be Luxon. An alliance cannot consist of 5 guilds allied with the Kurzicks and 5 allied with the Luxons.

No alliance guild can change the faction with which they are allied whilst in an alliance. The whole alliance would have to be disbanded and each individual guild would then have to change allegiance and reform the alliance once they are all of the same faction.
