Guess the Mission!
In this game, one of the missions of the game (only storyline missions / cooperative missions as they are called) from Nightfall, Factions or Prophecies will be described briefly, and the first person in chat to state the name of the mission gets something.

Simple example:
In this mission, the player tries to convince the three princes of Vabbi to unite against Varesh.

Answer: Tihard Orchard.

You might also use the Hero's Handbook (EoTN) primary quests.

What connects them all is that their land got attacked by the charr, and they still try to fight them. They are also all served in Ascalon's Chosen.

I guess I'll go with a Simon says type game.
Leader has at least 3 sets of armor.
One set means 'Put on THAT body part' (could be several)
Another set means 'Take off THAT body part' (could be several as well)
Remaining sets means 'Do nothing to THAT body part'

Or to spice it up
Another set (in this case any body part would mean this)
could mean 'Unequip equipped parts, equip unequipped parts' (basically reverse what you have on)

Game flow would begin with the Leader fully armored and switching armor parts every round. Could swap one or more body parts, but only once per part.

It will be competition, in which, master of event (organizer of event) will ask people: "What Price is (item name)?". Gamers must answer with the price available at Merchant.

Some examples:

- "What price is black dye?"

- "What Price is Obsidian Key?"

First person, who will write true answer on local chat will win the random item.

If you have a time and a good budget, the competition can be improved in this way: If the question was about price of "Shing Jea Key", the winner would win Shing Jea Key ; If the question was about price of "White Dye", the winner would win White Dye etc.

Location, location, location!
Through few details, partecipants will have to guess a location(only outposts of course) and rush in the international district 1 of that outpost, there they'll find someone of your team dancing and the first who opens a trade with him will receive a price^^

Of course to make things easier you should choose outposts that are not really crowded, but you could also decide to make things difficult for some high prizes and choose an outpost crowded... so that if there are more than one player dancing partecipants will have to guess

Costume guessing game:
The host would put on a set of armor and the participants would have to guess which armor it is. Then to make it more complicated the host could put on pieces of different armor sets at the same time. The prize for the latter version would have to be bigger though.

Color guesing game:
The host dyes his armor with a combination of 2-3 dyes and the participants guess what was the used combination.

Well, for a game to work online with large crowds, it has to be relatively straightforward without too much room for interpretation. Since the theme is a Masquerade, and GW has given out a lot of hats/masks over the years, you could have the organizer put on a hat/mask, and then have the participants figure out which event you got it from (event name/year or just event name depending on the hat). If you need more, the costume pack masks are also available. Whoever identifies the hat first gets a point, and the person with the most points at the end wins. Pretty simple to figure out who got it first since it was done in local chat, and there are plenty of different types to keep the game going for a while.

Theme 1: Darkness and Light


The "Light" pictures are my Mesmer, since I liked how the purple cast afterglow worked with the light, plus the animations. And it’s all about costumes and trickery, so I had to have at least one screenshot of her, due to the Mesmers/Lyssa connection . Sort of a reversal for the monk, as a follower of Dwayna, but she looks good in black, and it fits with the idea of trickery too ^^


The second theme is Fire and Ice.




A hot/cold, blue/red duality. Hope you guys like it, Murakai nuked me and I lost my survivor progress in order to get the fire screenshots, but I was still fired up enough to roar with the soaring flames.

Contest 2: Photo Ops! We’ve all got costumes, plus tonics. Make conga lines and get in formation for crazy screenshots- lines of Thriller-dancing candywomen and tapdancing elves, plus we can make cool designs on the steps with our characters, such as spelling GWEN or the names of the sponsoring guilds for screenshot keepsakes. Bring minipets for more craziness. Sync jumping and dancing for screenshots is also a plus- anything goes, just see what kind of stuff people want to make. Plus, conga lines! And dancing! Plus, it looks great on video, since it has lots of people moving around in an organized fashion.
Also, since players can come up with their own ideas, it’s one of the few games that we could do for any length of time (Simon Says tends to get boring real quick), and would require the participation of everyone. It also has the benefit of being cooperative instead of competitive, so everyone wins by getting cool videos and screenshots instead of just one fast/lucky dude.

I tried that, but it looked like crap (background too black), so I used a "makeover", and it still looked like crap. I'll try again once I get more white dyes, it's a good idea, if someone can implement it better than I


Edit: Two new ideas for the game (contest 2), since half an hour is a long time to use up. You can only sync jump and sync drop snowmen so many times (though plenty of combinations for awesome sync dancing lines with costumes/tonics!).

Rock Paper Scissors tournaments! Pair off and have fun. Actual brackets and prizes would be a PITA to organize with more than 16 people, so screw it and have fun!

Scavenger hunts: takes more people and preparation on your guys' part, but could be fun. Might also be too similar to mythic relay.

Another version of Simon Says: another poster suggested using armor pieces, but just emotes is easier and looks better on the screen (roaring vs armor swapping).

Nude Beach Parties/Surprise parties! We leave Ascalon ID1, and travel to little-used outposts, where we group /rank and dance around unsuspecting players. Normally boring sifhalla gets 30 seconds of craziness, and before people realize what's going on, we've moved on (after advertising the party- and potentially bringing in even more guests, great in-game advertising!) We can also visit Spamadan or other cities for grabbing more guests, just have 20 people hit trade chat with "Free booze and tonics in XXXX, bring a sense of humor and a costume, courtesy of Myth and Legends!".

Indys thinks that a good idea for a game would be a costume dressing race! Teams of 6, one of which is the "Mannequin".

The Mannequin gives his/her outfit to a moderator (5 pieces). The moderators dyes the outfit in a "secret" color (so teams should not choose outfits with expensive dye jobs..) and gives one piece to each of the other team members at the opposite side of the outpost. At a given signal all teams race to their mannequin. Sugar rush allowed! The first team to
1) Get the mannequin dressed (remember to show headgear!).
And
2) Manage a perfect sync roar.

Catch the Cold!
Players: 6 to 40 (More then that requires lots more judges)
Setup: Judge, One X Player, Players

Rules: Players have 1 chance to guess who is actually sick (per player). If they're wrong they are removed from the game. Once per turn the person whom is sick is allowed to 'infect' someone else. This person cannot speak or move, only nod yes and no to questions, and cannot reveal who got them ill. The game continues until everyone is infected or the 'originator' is caught.

What to tell players; Someone here at the party has a cold (or more serious disease). That person has come to have fun and wants to keep it a secret though. I have told the person who is sick to not reveal this. Your task is to discover whom is ill by telling me. Each person gets one guess If you accuse the wrong person, you will be asked to leave the party though.

Theme:A man of the North, while he may not be Norn in body, his heart yearns for the next great Hunt, and with only an axe in hand, he meets his adversaries and prey head-on, like a true Norn.

Greased-up Dragon Guy's Madness Chase Funtime!:
Greased-Up Dragon Guy is ready to run!
It wouldn't be "Madness" without the local tomfoolery of Greased-Up Dragon guy. Once a year, this man takes it upon himself to discard all but his undergarments, don his draconic mask (preferably, though rumors abound that he has used other crazy holiday masks before), grease himself up, and while hopped up on all the sugary drinks and confections he could get his slippery mitts on, run about wildly.
And now, he has arrived at sunny ole Ascalon City to share in the party. Its also spoken that for those who manage to capture him in a game of tag, receive one of the many random treats he stores in his knickers.

The rules of the game are simple. One person shall play Greased-Up Dragon Guy (Dragon mask not required, but a large mask of some sort is), and each round he uses a sugary item to gain the speed buff. Other players then attempt to "catch" him by getting close enough to open a trade window with him. A round ends every time he is caught, and first person to catch him 3 (or 5) times is then the winner. Winner of what though? That is dependent on what is available, random mini-pets to spare, bits of platinum coin, sweets and alcohol even.

If there is a large number of people, G.U.D.G. is allowed to recruit others as Honorary Dragon Guys, who will also run about in their knickers to be caught by playes.
