I am in the process of building a new high-end gaming pc to play guild wars 2 on. I've been searching around for the parts I need and the brands I prefer but I am not sure which motherboard would be best. My main choice at the moment is the Asus P6T Deluxe V2 but i have been hearing about a lot of RAM and Post problems with so im a little worried.

Does anyone know if this board is good? should I choose a different one and if so which?

On a side note to give an idea of what I mean by high-end the processor is definitely going to be a i7 quad core and the gpu is more than likely going to be a geforce GTX 570

The Asus Sabertooth X58 board is probably the best of the bunch at the moment.

When I built mine I got the Asus P6X58D-E which was slightly newer than the P6T Deluxe which I also looked at.

Also, for non Asus boards check out the Gigabyte UD3R.

If your spec isn't already set in stone I would put some consideration into a Sandy Bridge setup (Socket 1155), be sure to check the benchmarks and stuff comparing it to Socket 1136.

At this point, I would also recommend you look into a new Sandy Bridge setup using an i7-2600K.

If gaming is your concern (not encoding, processing huge amounts of data, or breaking benchmark records) I would get the 2500k, save money and work every bit as fast for gaming... of course you're budget is entirely up to you if you mind or don't mind the extra cash. I will say that if GW2 is your ONLY gaming concern, you don't need to spend that much money, as it will be overkill for the game, however if you play other games that are more demanding then by all means go for the kill.
