Account Wide Customize Weapons

before anyone flames i know this has been brought up before but im talking about a more "specific" thing here on just HoM "Weapons".

Having an idea of making Torment/ Destroyer/ Oppressor Weapons Account wide Customization instead of char based.

I have the Full tormented set but would love to take them over to my other chars heros when im using them, dont really wanna have to spend another 22-23ecto a weapon "x" how many heros each char has.

HoM is account wide so cant see a problem in doing this.

Armor etc is different story and dont sign that, im just talking about the 3 weapon sets Down in HoM.

Arenanet obviously feel torment weapons should be account wide and not char wise due to the volume of gold spend on doing it for each char and they have good reason to do so. Please dont make waste more money on more tormy weapons just to please my other chars lol.

Doing this just to these 3 weapon sets wont effect to price on other high-end weapons then like Obsidian edge, Vs Spear etc.

Only problem is that most people already dedicated all their torm/des/oppressor, and it would be very hard for the krew to "undedicate" it, (i think its impossible..)

no need to uncustomize them, just apply account wide setting on them weapons if possible, not sure what there capable of.

I am not certain it is possible to do this for those weapons and not have it happen for all weapons in the game which would be a bad idea.

You can already use a customised weapon on that characters heroes.
I am all in favour of the ability to allow weapons to be recustomised if that is a word, pay gold change ownership to another of your characters.

i wanted to use them on other chars heros on same account. shame if it not possible to make just these 1's account wise and not char.

Definatly could not make all rare weapons account wise, would kill them off.

Just being technical, but customisation also means +20% damage on martial weapons. It would be illogical if a weapon that boasts damage on one character - and is customised to them - will equally provide the same +20% damage for another character which it wasn't customised for.

Would have to change it completely where weapons are locked to an account, different to customisation.

And tbh... Really??? If this did go through i wouldn't be bothered to constantly swap weapon sets for heroes on each of my characters, you'd be swapping 10+ weapons at a time. Might as well buy cheap sets for heroes across all characters and not have to worry about swapping them all the time.

True swapping can be a pain, dont understand what u mean by the 20% though as all heros would get 20% if any weapon was customized anyways.

I do love my Tormented weapons, seems like im gonna have to choose my favourite char after my best 1 and spend all over again. this hero buisness is expensive.

Ok can make cheap weapons for hero's with crappy skins and cheap greens, just aint the same though is it. love me heros to look there best at all times. They are my personal bodyguard after all

Meh, no point explaining logic to a PvEer from a PvP perspective.

Customisation means a character had altered/modified their weapon in order to get more out of it.

If you make customisation a joke and make it available for all characters, why bother with the damage increase?

lol i know what the 20% increase on weapons is. and pvp has got nothing to do with it :S so thats a silly comment.

What i meant was.... how has the 20% customization increase got anything to do with what im asking.... No1: i can customize another weapon to get the same 20% for my heros/weapons. No2: focus/shields dont even have 20% increase.

1. Make HoM weapons account-wide
2. Put a NPC to re-customize a weapon to character B if it is already customized for character A. Characters A and B must be under the same account.

The idea of "dedicating" weapons rather than customizing them has been suggested previously. Do a search yourself if you wish to continue the discussion, and perhaps I will link a thread to such a discussion here later.
