Safe to trade between multiple accounts?
1 pages • Page 1
I have multiple accounts and have been moving stuff back and forth all the time. Usually it is not money tho, but there are things like z-keys and gifts being consolidated onto one account to use or sell.
Others in our guild also have multiple accounts so obviously they are moving goods and I'm sure one is moving serious gold since he is always maxing out his primary storage.
*Shrug* Be honest about what you do and it shouldn't matter.

I trade large amounts of stuff between both my accounts and have never had a problem with it. This includes gold dumps and one sided item trades. Both accounts are not under the same PlayNC account, but both are under my name, so that might have something to do with why I've never had a problem. They're also both in the same guild, so that may make a difference as well.

Same here, Ive got multiple accounts spread over a few guilds and do one sided trades most of the time. I have not been banned yet for any of these trades as they are all registered under my name and trading is always between accounts on the same IP.
All of us saying that we have not been banned is however not a sure indication or confirmation that you can not be abanned. If you are seriously worried, send Anet a Ticket asking if it is OK to trade betwen multiple accounts on the same IP and give them the Account names of all your accounts as well as the programm you are planning on using (Also state that you know that Anet will not take responsibility if the 3rd party programm should break your Computer or corrupt your files).

i'm pretty sure when they do an IP check and realize the accounts are from same IP, they will know the accounts are yours
i believe a flag just goes up when there are multiple gold exchanges on one account with nothing in return |
call / email them the ip address your using and your account(s) info and send it to them telling them whats going on.
If transferring any large value item ect between my various accounts I do it in an explorable area.
Then I just type in chat transfering to my other account and take a screenshot thus showing no infringement of any kind is going on.
Not saying thats the best way but I know I have a screenshot should a situation arise showing both my accounts in same party screen

I transfer items and money between my 2 accounts for about 2 years. Many trades without anything in return. No problems. They are in different guilds, but registered on the same master account and always run on the same machine (one in vmware player for the first few months, then I used mgwml for a few months, then gwmultilaunch for the last 1.5 years).
I have 6 accounts + one storage account and I traded lots of stuff between accounts including gold and DID get banned. But then I had 7 accounts, which is uncommon.
So, I wrote to NCSoft and showed them the evidence that I actually do own 7 accounts, none of which were robot accounts, so they released me from the ban and flagged my accounts as safe and I haven't been bothered since.
I am an extreme case with 7 accounts, but even an extreme case can get all sorted out if there's actually a good honest person, not breaking any rules, behind the accounts being traded amongst.

I know people who have 60+ accounts from when the Tourney house was around. They would just use GWML and load up a few accounts at a time, get the points, and trade the keys over to their main accounts. From what I understand, none of their extra accounts got banned, and I'm sure that Anet can't say that you having more then 1 account is unfair and ban it, I'm pretty sure that you would have to be doing something against the EULA to get perma banned. Plus having more then 1 account is NOT against the EULA, nor is trading stuff between the 2 accounts. They would have prove that you were doing something wrong on either of the accounts to do something to ya.

Transferred 100k from one account to another and got banned within 24 hours.
Contacted support and got it unbanned by getting them to check that the IPs were the same. Lesson: Make sure you can prove that it wasn't real money trading because they aren't proactive about checking. As far as they are concerned, the onus is on you to prove it was legit, not them to prove it wasn't.

I have two accounts and have traded large amounts of money between both no problem. One account is on a master account the other is not. If you did get banned I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get your account back. I can't see how anet could see having multiple accounts as being unfair, the more accounts/games you buy the better for them.
