I normally don't complain about stuff, but wtf is up with this weekend being Triple key/lockpick drops AND double your luck points, when in the past it should be the Canthan New Year...
This is really pissing me off....Maybe its just me

This means to get Unlucky for HoM it'd be cheaper with breaking ~29 picks (at least for me) in Ascalon rather than worrying about rings (or retaining 200 picks anywhere for lucky).
According to http://www.guildwiki.org/Luck_titles_guide
17,777 games 48.1 hours 33.3 Platinum for Unlucky 2 if using Rings of fortune and 41.0 hours , 125.0 Platinum for Unlucky 2 if using Ninerings.
However, if getting Lucky 2 as well, you need Ninerings: 100,000 10,589 games 28.9 hours 88.2 Platinum
Best of luck to those of you going for max.

If you look between AB weekend and CNY weekend, there's Wintersday Redux.
However, there was some confusion last year. It seems the weekends were still automated and that weekend was supposed to be a lockpick/lucky weekend and they scheduled the redux over it.
So you are wrong, they are still following the right weekend schedule. Next week is CNY. The week after that HA weekend, etc.
Edit: ah it seems someone also added that note about the redux being a lockpick weekend to the archive yesterday.

9,231 games, 25.2 hours, 76.9 plat on nine rings +
6,838 games, 18.6 hours, 12.8 plat on rings of fortune =
43.8 hours, 89.7 plat
Since both games progress both titles at the same time.
Thankfully with numbers this high, the statistics even out pretty well, so you won't like get really unlucky and have to spend 100 plat.

It's double points, but triple lockpick and key drops.

I am still trying to max unlucky. Even with the new Year event I will still be about 100K short in points. Out of all the titles I have worked on this one and treasure hunter are the most mind numbing. At least I can work on both at the same time

I hate getting the keys instead lockpicks. There should be some kind of key collector or crafter that takes keys and gives lockpicks.

Blew 31 picks (although I did a few high end chests so it was less than that). Unlucky 2 from 500ish pts to 10k. Not bad, since it took WAY less than the estimated 41 hours on rings. (http://www.guildwiki.org/Luck_titles_guide)
~1/3 to Lucky 2 from Lucky 0 on those same picks. 140-150 retains in <28.9 hours from rings should be possible.
