When does Canthan New Year start?

I'be been looking for a while now to find out when Canthan Ney Year stars or rather when the Broadwalk is open, but with no luck.

Could someone who knows this please enlighten me?

And I've saved 350k for the event, will this be enough to last all event?

Well looking at times for 2009 (2010 had the Wintersday redux) it should be next weekend (5th feb).

I assume you are gona be spending it all on 9 rings, in which case yeah if I remember rightly that should be enough for all weekend. Although has been a couple of years since I spent all weekend on 9 rings, I believe it used to spend about 250-300k.

Canthan New Year aligns with Chinese New Year, which is February 3rd this year.
So I would expect it to start either on that day or the following weekend (the next day)

I would cheekily say its when anet decides which is true - few years back they used to be on the ball and give at least a weeks notice via their website when a main event is but sadly they seem to have lost the ability and several times an event like the easter weekend either last yr or year before wasnt announced till after the event started.
These days they tend to give short notice and we as players have no idea when somethings happening - so it could be next weekend as this weekends event is the lockpick event tho i could be wrong and anets going to spring it on us all of a sudden.
Best bet and safest way is to watch their website for details ( ok lol if you have to ) or watch on guru for a post.

Wonder if all us guru members should chip together and get anet a calender so they can write down events and get their website staff to look at it and put the damn things on their website lol
