Special thanks to LicensedLuny for telling me the story behind this item and then confirming that what I showed him was indeed the item.
For anyone that doesn't know, staffs were changed when Nightfall came out so that they always dropped with a white text HSR 20% for all spells inherent mod. Before that, both inherent mods on staffs were random and could be for any stat 10-20%. Note that the HSR mod on the staff is for Death Magic only and is in gold rather than white text. Also note that Adept heads don't work on this staff because of something to do with weapon id tags and the effect displayed as "Halves casting time on spells of item's attribute" instead of the normal "Halves casting time on [Attribute] spells. Please correct me if any of this is wrong.
The only other auction I've found of a similar item is this auction here for a q8 air staff that seemed to go for around 110e. Any advice on how to sell this item or links to previous auctions of similar items would also be appreciated.
Funny story how I got this: My friend who only played in Prophecies gave me his account a while ago. He was a casual player and didn't have much worth taking on his account so I left it alone for a while. Today I was using his characters as mules
when I happened to look at the staff his Level 18 Necro was holding. Lo and behold, there it was. His main character is only in the Crystal Desert and he wasn't rich so he must have gotten an amazing drop.
