Question on purchasing GW Trilogy
NiteCrimin
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, so feel free to delete or move this thread but I was just wondering if I could purchase trilogy online from the ncsoft online shop or from steam with a canadian visa giftcard. I've searched all my video games stores near where I live and I they all say the game was discontinued so I have to buy it online. So can you buy guild wars trilogy online from either steam or the ncsoft online shop with a $50 canadian visa gift card, I'm pretty sure the USD price is only like $39.99?

From Steam support
"What currencies does the Steam store support?
The Steam store offers pricing in United States Dollars (USD), United Kindom Pounds (GBP), or Euros (EUR) depending upon your locale. If purchasing items on Steam in US Dollars from anywhere other than the US, please contact your credit card issuer or bank for information regarding current exchange rate and fees."
Regretfully, the exchange rate doesn't look good. Amazon.ca is charging $60 Canadian for the Trilogy and $16 Canadian for EotN compared to amazon.com's $40 and $10 US. You could check for more online resources for the game.

Thanks I'll look into that, any idea if I could buy it directly off of NCSoft then?

You should be able to buy it online: https://secure.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/St...em&item_id=109

A lot of threads here start with "So I just bought on Steam, have some questions!" :P
Maybe your best bet, although, it may depend where you live, some games aren't available in certain countries on Steam
Probably a long route method but you could install the demo then use the GW's store, can't see any reason why the store wouldn't be included in the demo

Just bought guild wars trilogy so that means that the method does work if you buy it off NCSoft website
