What is everyone's thoughts about if you have a 2 player party? Do you think it is better to have both players bring heroes or for lead to bring heroes and then fill with henchman?

This might be me or most of the GW community but if both players have heros why use henchmen?

Especially if you both can bring something to the table with your heros like 1 prot 1 heal etc

Pro's for heros can be microed you can alter there behaviour ie guard to what ever the other 2 are.
and individually place them apart from each other instead of a mass aoe lump of an area

For henchmen the pros are simply is if neither of you have heros use henchmen

i play with one other person a lot, it's better for both of us to bring heroes. sometimes I bring the monks and one other, other times he brings a healer and two others. it's just better for both to bring. also better because if needed we can each spread them out. where as if hench are involved you can't spread them out to avoid aoe stuffs.

The only times you would really opt for henchmen is if the other player is new and has few skills unlocked for their heroes or if one of you will be "running" the other through content and you want all the support party members with you.

I go with bringing your own heroes though we might only take one full healer build and only one of us will have melee types.

This works form us because the player I go with is a much more experienced in the close attack and I am more a mid to back line style player.

90% of players are bad at guild wars, so when I'm with someone its Me + 3 heroes + healing henchmen + extra players/heroes. I do not have time to explain to every damn person why you don't need 5 4s recharge heals and why a build with SoLE is bad on heroes. I also don't have time to deal with stupid melees who run into battle and have their monk follow them, people who go afk and keep their hero with them, or any other reason having a hero follow other players instead of me is a bad idea. 2 healing henchmen are more than enough for 99% of PvE in NM or HM. In the unlikely case we lost its because my 3 heroes and I either didn't mitigate damage well enough or didn't kill shit fast enough, not because a well-made hero healer build might be 15% better than henchmen.

Depends on their heros, especially in EOTN. The EOTN hench aren't that bad.

I've seen people's heros with heal party, Heal other and healing breze + healing seed (on a UA bar!) before.

Honestly most henchmen bars are *passable* for HM.

You only bring a 2 player hero party if you want to.

If you duo with this person regularly then the two of you can probably synergize your hero team's resources, not possible with the fixed bars of henchies.

If your partner(s) for w.e reason are not adding heroes and human players are for w/e reason not an option, just add henchmen, the two of you will hardly notice the difference.

Any logistical shortcomings from heroes can be remedied by flagging.
