Tarnished Coast
Lady Kaguya
hi everyone. been here since 2007--then started posting in the GWG2...then thought, "why not both sites at once?". so here I am. I read the rules, but I apologize deeply if I made a mistake or anything...
this is a scene of the Tarnished Coast...Photoshop CS2, 3 hours. I hope people enjoy this. I'd like to do more GW art to show here.

This is breathtaking I'm always amazed when people put their painting times, and it's always way, way, way less than what I would have guessed a piece would have taken! Don't forget to join the dA group, too

Now that I like
I must be in a strange mood today because my thought was wouldn't it be good if you could get an easel and paints in gw 2.
The thought that while you wander through the game you would pass the occasional artist.
as I say strange mood.

Wow that looks great!

That looks beautiful. I like the silhouette of a man standing there. The green/blue palette really made a serene atmosphere.

Nice, the brushes you made for the leaves are good and defined. The only thing I have to nit-pick is just the bottom marsh. The middle-ground and background are melded into one, and makes it seem like the marsh abruptly stops while the trees continue to be pushed back into space.

Very lovely landscape! I love the texture and the marshy feel to it, it's got very nice feel and atmosphere to it. That lone figure in the forest also puts it into size perspective nicely, although I think adding a few highlights or colour to the figure itself would help it blend in better with the surroundings. It's a little too stark, uniform black at the moment, so it stands out a bit oddly from the lovely detail and brushwork of the background.
