Zaishen Chest

With the current key prices going up, and the requirement of 20,000 of them to max the title.. isnt it time for a little help?

What about adding in the possibility of a Zaishen key drop from the zaishen chest? not so much the same droprate as creme brulee (wouldnt that be nice?) but more like the same rate as tomes.

It just doesnt feel right paying 6-7k for a creme brulee nowadays... be nice to have just a little help on the title.

Any x-key dropping from a x-chest is a weird idea. Could you imagine opening any chest in the game and all you get is the key back? I get it, you want the free zaishen points

I understand you'd like "help"; ways of obtaining zkeys easier to advance or even max your title. Maybe you miss the old free Xunlai monthly tournament giveaway of keys.

I think, especially considering the vast amount of mediocre stuff dropping from this chest, that this chest was only implemented in the game as a huge goldsink. And face it, we need goldsinks, otherwise we'd all be running around with thousands of ecto and millions of gold by now.

Being able to max the zaishen title takes huge amounts of wealth, it is a luxury title.
You're not paying 6-7k for the creme brulee, you're paying 6-7k for the points. Anything that drops is bonus if you really want the title. Some people started a zaishen service because of this; they understand this concept and want the title, nothing more.

I disagree. Firstly I don't like Zaishen being a PvP title, but that has been discussed. But this fact is what has made so many people go for it, and hence the prices rising.

If something is gaining popularity because it's easy, then it automatically adjusts itself to become harder (by the market rising prices). If this happened then it would effectively just be lowering the price of Z keys by giving each Z key the chance of giving another Z key. Lets say they gave the Z chest a high enough chance of dropping a Z key that it effectively lowers the price down to 5k again. Then the price just starts to rise again as it did before.

My point is, if they decrease the price of something when it starts to rise then it is just going to keep rising. Let the market define the price.

Since ectos are worth almost 1/3 of what they were in the year of release, shouldn't FoW armor be changed to require 250 ectos for a full set?

the point of the zaishen chest is how many times you open it. I dont think an extra open out of every 10 or so is going to crash the economy is any way,shape or form-but it WILL help add just a few more points on the board.

So when do we stop? If it gets 1/10th cheaper, eventually the market will raise prices by 1/10th. Then we should make it even cheaper. It would only be a temporary fix.

Also, OP speaks about maxing the title. R3 isn't exclusive, correct, but maxed isn't seen very often.

That only change I'd make to that chest is removing the sweets, alcohol and tomes, and replacing them by ZCoins that disappear if you zone out without picking them (so others can't take them, only the opener).

Then, if people want the tomes and alcohol, they can exchange the coins themselves in the ZCoin crafters, or get other stuff if they prefer so.

To be honest , AT's are the only " fun " ways to make some keys fast. Every other way isn't really ( especially RA and HA , i won't mention AB/JQ/FA since you don't really earn a lot of factions there..).. Also mentionning fair places , since snowball AT's aren't that fair...
So now , GvG being the only place to get keys , i find it a bit tough to get zkeys from fun... Thus , yes i used to spent 5keys after every HB tourney without really caring, but now it's quite harsh to spent them...

Anyway , i would sign if it was concerning fun , but since it's some qqing about the drop ( why not talk about 15k to get a few scrolls from coffer of whispers then? )

Basically this. Don't screw with the free market.

Plus, well, it really isn't a title you are supposed to just buy (though people do). I'm far more content with having rank 4 zaishen and never having bought a single key and earning all of mine then I would be if I just bought it.

im far more content with having a *real* pvp title (champ/hero) and selling my zkeys for 6k each to the people that want to havea wannabe pvp title (which we all know is really a pve title at best)

christ almighty. im not talking about CHANGING THE PRICE, although i am complaining about it. im talking about getting a few more points for the title when opening the chest; thats all this is about. you guys seem to think 2 extra keys when using 30 is somehow going to explode them market or ruin some corner of the economy, and/or somehow going to get you the zaishen title in under 10 minutes... its not, but a WEE bit of help wouldnt be bad.

noone cares about coffers, they drop shit anyhow; you'd be dumb to chance that kind of money
